Alves one side, Alba the other. Definately going down the Barca route of full backs who are actually in the side as attacking players then Whistle

I have two of the best attacking wingbacks/fullbacks in world football at the moment. Doesn't guarantee what formation I play, I could just as easily drop both and have;

Zabaleta - Hummels - Howedes - Fuchs

Lahm
Baines
Marcelo
Evra
Criscito
Cole
Filipe Luis

And especially if you're up against one of those 4-4-2 formations, they just don't work anymore.

Or a good DM in front. Like how Mascherano SHOULD be used at Barca.

Would you be impling that perhaps some of Spains other recent sporting victories may be tainted perhaps...

Not just Spanish ones...

I'll try and watch as much as I can. The Eurosport coverage for that is pathetic compared to the Tour.

But it is a strong field. Not sure who will be using it as a warm up for the Tour and who is taking it more seriously though. If taking it seriously, then it is difficult to see past Wiggo or Nibali. Only potential "outsider" is if Cadel rediscovers himself.

Cadel's done for me.

If Wiggo is only using it as a warm up, I'd fancy one of thr Columbians to do well. Hesjedal has shown a bit of form in the classics, so as defending champ he has a chance

I think Wiggo might well be put in his place and prioritise the Giro. The Tour really isn't going to suit him and there is a strong argument he only won last year because Froome was held back. With more difficult climbs and less emphasis on time trials, it actually suits Froome and Contador more (although both are top time triallers as well)

I think it's fairly obvious Froome will be the leader. He's ridden all the preparation races like Romandie, and with a lot of riders you expect to be in the Tour team.

Not sure what Wiggins comments are all about. They've been blown up but are still a bit silly.

Watch out for Thibaut Pinot at the Tour. Really fancy him to finish Top 10 maybe Top 5 depending on how much time he loses in the ITT

My wife and I are struggling to get a babysitter so we can go to the Cricket on Sunday and get drunk.

What about Russell? He's selfishly managing pretend football teams when he could be doing his family a favour...

The Telegraph have been banned from Newcastle's press conferences and media events for reporting that the squad is unsettled.

Firstly, they are big wusses for banning them. Secondly I can believe the squad are unsettled. There were reports of the same thing when Pardew was coming to the end at West Ham. He'd fostered a bad culture and the players weren't performing.

Plus they are like 70% French. No one likes the French. Not even the French like the French.
