Dropping Points on Purpose?
Could Fergie have dropped points to Arsenal and Chelsea on purpose so they have a better chance of finishing in the top four as it will improve Uniteds chances of buying Bale in the summer if Spurs finish 5th
Re: Dropping Points on Purpose?

I think Bale will go there regardless. If he has any ambition he'll want to go and try and be a big fish in a big pond which he is more than capable of being.
Lets be honest he's not going to win anything significant at Spurs. Time to move on.

He's the perfect Giggs (in his prime) replacement, lets hope he ends up there.

No, just no.
SAF has far too much respect for the PL and football in general.

And Spurs will sell abroad most likely. See Modric and the 'special' relationship with Madrid

Can't see him going abroad. He's still tied to the apron strings apparently. Manchester is a perfect location.

If you had 60m, would you buy Ronaldo or Bale?

Drunken football conspiracy theory, make a lot more sence after a day in the pub!!! Ha!!!
Re: Dropping Points on Purpose?
I put Bale at about £30 million, if he moves to Real. di Maria cost £24, I dont think Bale is THAT much better (he just doesnt have Ronaldo on his team, thus he gets more ball). Having started out at LB, he does have versatility, but a 19 goal season (at 24) is hardly bringing rockets to the scientists. Real would be an awful fit for Bale, unless they are planning on a clearance. His less of a goal-scoring threat than Higuain & Benzema, and he wont replace Ronaldo in the "Just cause havoc" position, so realistically, when would he shine? Its the same problem Kaka and Modric have in midfield, and homestly they are better players than Bale. United would be a good fit for Bale, but price? He signed a four-year contract a year ago, so unless he has a buy-out, Spurs are under no presure to sell him, Champions League or not.

Ronaldo without a doubt, I think Bale is an amazing player and would be a much better option than Young on the left, there is no one (apart from the obvious) I'd pick over Ronaldo and even if the choice was between Messi and Ronaldo I'd probably still pick Ronaldo.

I love it when hypocrite Fergie slags off other players for feigning injury when he has Johnny Evans in his team......
He really is a joke.........
