Is Martinez a bit overrated?

He's alright enough but he's not pushed Wigan on at all since he's taken over and established them. Big Sam did that at Bolton - love or hate his style.

Plus his team defend like deaf dumb and blind midgets at times.

Well considering the players that have left during his tenure, he's doing a pretty darn good job to keep them up.

And a cup final with European football now.

Hardly a bad CV. If I was an Everton fan I'd have him every day of the week of Malky Mackay (as much as I love Malky)

I'd have Malky personally. I think hes set for the top of the British game someday. I like Martinez but I don't think hes more than a top half manager.

I think he could be sold on the job. Its not like Everton are a midtable side, and they offer patience and security in a way I imagine Cardiff's owners don't.

I wouldn't hire Poyet. His football verges more towards Brendan Rodgers pointlessness than attractiveness.

I would hope that it being Everton would tempt him to leave Cardiff.

I just think that we are not going to want to pay big compensation and Malky isn't long into a contract I don't think.

Whereas Pereira is out of contract in the summer

Paul Lambert would be a good fit there but I think his Villa side will be improved next year and much more comfortable in the Prem.
