In order of priority:
Striker - either sign Carroll and another, or sign two new ones because we are toothless without new signings.
Full backs - both sides need upgrading. Joey O'Brien and Guy Demel aren't going to get it done most days.
Goalkeeper - Jaaskelainen put together an OK season but he got away with a lot.
Right wing - Jarvis is fine on the left, but we need someone other than Vaz Te on the right hand side. The man doesn't know what he wants to do with the ball until he's done it. Prefer Cole in AM.
Centre mid - depending on Diame staying we may need two, but we definitely could do with more depth.
CB - same as above.

Lampard does have more Balloon door votes, its true.
That said Lampard is a superb player, but Scholes is the best of his era good.

He can't be. We must be able to sign a full back from somewhere. Any full back.
I'd get rid of Taylor, Cole, Demel, McCartney, Jaask, maybe Nolan if someone would give us cash for him.
I'd also let Jordan Spence get a look in at RB. It's been ages since our famous academy actually delivered anyone. I hear a lot about Rob Hall, George Moncur but never see them blooded.

No just a normal 2 year old they only need someone to wonder aimlessly and not control a ball and not get it anywhere near the goal

Re: Euro Division Homepage LVII
This is nice, from Carlo Ancelotti:
My admiration for Sir Alex Ferguson comes from knowing him. He won it all. He’s a symbol, a legend and a hero for Manchester United. But at the same time he’s humble, modest and still has the passion of a child in carrying out his work. It’s not the least bit easy to remain yourself once you become successful. But he pulled it off, and this is perhaps his greatest success. I don’t remember the exact moment I met him for the first time, but I know we hit it off immediately. We were adversaries. At times I won and at times he won, but we were never enemies. At the end of each game we’d enjoy a good glass of wine and a laugh. I even gave him a bottle of Ornellaia after I had won against him, and we drank it together chatting like old friends. This is the kind of football I like, and that Sir Alex likes as well. For us coaches, Ferguson’s adventure is a model to be followed. I think his greatest achievement was transmitting a sense of belonging to the players he guided. Being a part of Manchester United, being a Red Devil, is something that will never fade. He marched forward, year after year, winning everything, and always remained a force to be reckoned with. He raised such champions as Beckham, Scholes and Rooney, along with others from the present period. And everyone must recognise the fact that they are the fruit of his labour.
Clear rules, maximum respect, and fierce determination: this is his gospel. He moulded a group. He has trusted partners who never betray him, an obsessive attention to detail and, above all, a gift that is essential for anyone in this profession: he knows how to get in synch with those he works with, to listen, to reflect, and to fully accept responsibility for his decisions. Of course there have been moments in which he’s become angry and lost his temper. He won’t allow himself to be pushed around by anyone, and this spontaneous and full-blooded character is appreciated by his fans and admired by his opponents. There’s also a secret to his long experience on the bench (and the bench at United is certainly one that carries pressure): no director or president has ever questioned him. This should be a lesson to those in the world of football, since far too often you find a lack of patience in this environment. Coaches need time to convey their thoughts, to make themselves understood and to give shape to their ideas of the game. Sir Alex had this time. And look what he was capable of and what he has become: a legend. Actually, a Legend (with a capital ‘L’). For once a withdrawn and simple man like him will accept the plaudits. In the end, they’re justified. And most importantly, he deserves them.

Lampard's achievement is amazing. Congratulations to him. 203 goals is it from central midfield, MOTD showed Scholes on 106 & Gerrard on 98. Compared to that really does highlight his achievement.Marky wrote:Controversial statement while we're comparing players, based on his goalscoring feats in the last 10 years, I rate Frank Lampard over Paul Scholes.

Good news - players in the league list is updated as of this lunchtime
More good news - I have therefore generated lawyers and injuries which can go up ahead of the TP increase.
Bad news - I will be disappointed if anyone from the Championship does any transfers which means I have to update them again

I don't want to end up like that guy in the Jake Bugg song that gets stabbed at a gangsters house.

On Fifa 11 I lost a VDV that cost me 30k, I never got that back. But I think they're much better these days, I got a Welliton worth 2k refunded to me after that disappeared from my trade pile.

Latest name I have seen linked with the Everton job - Bielsa.
Frustrated by finances and the Basque rule, he is out of contract in the summer. Not on as much as Moyes was either, so should get a pay rise.
For him, I would drive to Bilbao and drive him all the way back to Liverpool myself
