We ain't spent nearly 9m on him, almost triple our previous transfer record, to stick him on the bench Laugh

I do love Holty still.

But at the end of the day, he's like 33 now.

He'll do a job now and then, but his best days are behind him.

I hope we can, a big opportunity beckons this summer.

We need more of the form of the 1st half of the season, not the form of post Xmas.

Hughton needs to sort out the away form, as it's been utter dross away all season bar the odd game

The calendar on my iPhone has somehow got the date wrong.

I would argue that it has one role, and it's currently failing at it.

One of the many reasons I got rid of mine. None of the apps would work because the iphone said it was 1999, and all the apps were installed post-2010 picard

The thing is, it's not even the year that's wrong, that bit it's spot on with.

It has it a random day ahead. I panicked for a moment and thought it was Thursday and I was out of time for work.

I've got their singles but I don't know if I like them enough to commit to a full album with them.

I need to listen to the Everything Everything album properly because I've loved the singles so far.

I'm inbetween on Odell at the moment, which is why I'm waiting for the album. I like Hold Me a lot but Can't Pretend was a bit glum for my liking.

I'm having a bit of a rebellion against the proliferation of soulful singer songwriters at the moment. Ben Howard gets on my nerves for some reason.

"West Ham United are poised to sign Andy Carroll on a permanent basis, reports the Newcastle Chronicle.

The paper says West Ham have planned talks with their former striker - who is on loan at Upton Park from Liverpool - before he plays for against Reading on Sunday in the Hammers' final game of the season.

A £17m fee for the 24-year-old's services has already been agreed between Liverpool - who signed him from Newcastle for £35m - and West Ham."

Aww, big Andy loves us.

Not if you've seen the way he's played for us. Bony was mooted at 14m and I'm far more comfortable paying 17m for Carroll.

Having read the original article now, it is all conjecture by the looks of it. They basically say nothing new under the guise of it being big news.

Okay lads, FIFA question:

Who are your favourite players on career mode?

I just unlocked the next cash injection perk, and so have £85m to spend after my next game. My team suffered badly from injuries this season (six out for several months) and so my team is currently:

Frey
Debuchy - Alderweireld - Kjaer - Cole
Fellaini - Mulumbu
Dorrans - Sneijder - Eriksen
Falcao

With subs of Isaksson, Olsson, Dawson, Long, and three kids who've developed well.

I'm thinking I need a CB, CM, RAM and possibly a GK and a LB (as Cole is 35 now and very slow).

Holtby is great.
Schurrle is far and away my favourite player, cutting in from the left he scores a hatful.
Wanyama is a handy midfield enforcer.
Luc Castaignos is extremely fast and a good finisher.

But I've laser burned my Fifa 13 Cry

I love Holtby on FUT, I'm upgrading all over the pitch except for him. He's awesome.

Will look at Schurrle, that would allow me to move Eriksen to RAM.

Castaignos could be a good sub.

And what the hell does 'laser burn' mean?

I want a top-quality CB and have £21.9m + Kevin Strootman (£10.5m TM value) + Alex Buttner (£4.4m TM value) to offer. Who's biting?

Also, players available on loan for cash + return loan player:

Ashley Cole
Jack Wilshere
Marouane Fellaini
Jakub Blaszczykowski
Christian Eriksen
Wilfried Zaha

If you knock the Xbox over when playing a game, it literally burns a trail into the disc and makes it unplayable. I did that last week.

Schurrle only cost me about £13.5m, and he's worth double that now. Let alone the fact I think he's an 88 ovr. Top player.

I'm playing as Gladbach currently. After the first season my team is now...

Ter Stegen
Jantschke---Hummels---Varane---Dominguez
Pogba---Xhaka
Lamela---Leitner---Draxler
Lewandowski

From the off I brought in Leitner and Draxler, after half a season Barca offered me 35m for Luuk De Jong which got me Lewandowski and Lamela with enough spare to get a 5 star scout plucking the next gen out. I finished 2nd in the league and with the cash bought Hummels. Pogba & Varane are on loan.

Yeah, I may do that next week. It's a fairly small burn because I didn't knock it all the way over, just wobbled it. For the moment I'm playing Arkham City anywho.

I think my West Ham side is:

Henderson
Montoya - Tomkins - Diagne - Cresswell
Wanyama
Holtby - Breitner
Morrison ---------------------- Schurrle
Castaignos

I spent a lot of money on squad depth though, so I effectively have two teams worth of players. I get sick of them being tired and now we're in the CL so it's getting worse.

I always sub Falcao, Sneijder and Eriksen on 68-70mins, so they recover easily. If they play 90mins they're knackered the next game, it's so true how professional footballers can't hack two games a week Laugh

What about CBs, I don't really like Hummels on FUT. How is Howedes?
