Ring Magazine p4p
First topic message reminder :
Has Anyone seen the latest ring magazine ratings?
Absolutely shocking...
1. Floyd Mayweather
2. Andre Ward
3. Juan Manuel Marquez
4. Wladimir Klitchsko
5. Abner Mares
6. Adrien Broner
7. Sergio Martinez
8. Manny Pacquiao
9. Tim Bradley
10. Saul Alvarez
I don't even know where to start with this, over to you.
Adrien Broner above Manny Pacquiao? Who the hell has he beat? Saul Alvarez makes the cut, but Froch or Donaire don't
Laughable.

Re: Ring Magazine p4p
I wouldn't put froch in the top 10 at all like him and that but just not in top 10 p4p would make a bigger case for broner than froch

Re: Ring Magazine p4p
Why not? marquez was losing to pacman till he pulled put that punch, and fair play rigo did well against donnaire but he did get dropped and that punch donnaire knocked him down with was from an awkward position maybe that says more about donnaire power than rigos frailty, but atleast We know froch is alot more durable.

Re: Ring Magazine p4p
Don't really like doing p4p lists, rather concentrate on ranking the best fighters in each weight category, but might as well go for it
1.) Floyd
2.) Ward
3.) JMM
4.) Martinez
5.) Rigo
6.) Wlad
7.) Donaire
8.) Pacquiao
9.) Bradley
10.) Mares
Broner and Canelo are on the fringes and fighters like Viloria and Guerrero needs to regroup after recent losses
1.) Floyd
2.) Ward
3.) JMM
4.) Martinez
5.) Rigo
6.) Wlad
7.) Donaire

JMMwon in devastating fashion. That's the bottom line.Makaveli wrote:Why not? marquez was losing to pacman till he pulled put that punch, and fair play rigo did well against donnaire but he did get dropped and that punch donnaire knocked him down with was from an awkward position maybe that says more about donnaire power than rigos frailty, but atleast We know froch is alot more durable.
You could argue thst Froch lost to Dirrell and was losing to Thompson and decked by him also. JMMhas been consistent in winning. Froch hasn't. I'd have Frock at 10 at best.

Your forgetting how easily he beat Bute, id say he won that fight in devastating fashion

There are 4 welterweights in your top 10 although its hard to argue I would still put alverez in as he is number 1 MW in the world rather than number 4 ww in the world! Broner is also a 2 weight world champ and was the man in both weights

Never heard of Thompson. Is he in your p4p top 5??
I remember he fought Taylor though. It was watched by the whole of Puerto Rico down South America way.

Yea I know that's why I like to stick to rating per division. Mayweather has to be there, pacquiao was/is still one of the best fighters in the world and looked good before losing to another great fighter, JMM was the best LW and would still beat any of the LWW's and WW's today and bradley likewise. Welterweight is just a stacked division, and the TopRank fighters are the best fighters there (excluding Floyd obviously)
Broner and Canelo are on the finges as both have only 1 really good name on there CV's with DeMarco and Trout respectively. Neither divisions are as stacked as Welter and SFW was especially poor
I can see JMM and Pacquiao falling out of the top 10 in the next 12-18 months whether by there own doing or by others doings better.
