Hard to see Pep not wanting Kroos and Gotze together in his midfield.

If the first bidder can't afford it then I would say the second highest wins it

That was my plan but I was shot down last time as I recall. I settled for a maximum bid of budget + lawyers value.

Re: Euro Division Homepage LVIII
I agree.
On your last point on the TP window, if someone cannot afford the players they have bid on, the money will be raised by selling players.
We will start at the highest valued player on TM website and work backwards until they have enough cash.
And the real sting, the player sales will be out of the league for TM value less 20% rounded down to the next £0.5m (i.e. a reverse lawyer)

Why would that get shot down?
In a tender process, if your best bidder pulls out you go to your second option, not re-start the whole thing

That Lukaku to West Ham link is utter nonsense. I'll tell you how it came about - the BBC had a story the other day on the transfer gossip page that said
"West Ham look to get Lukaku on loan again"
The Mirror then picked it up as 'Lukaku to West Ham', when the BBC made a typo and meant West BROM. West Ham don't have the interest, it's us.

The West Ham link is real and Sky Sports have reported it with direct quotes from Sullivan
http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11661/8727298/West-Ham-owner-David-Sullivan-eyes-Chelsea-s-Romelu-Lukaku
But I think we might see him at Swansea, offering him some European experience

Re: Euro Division Homepage LVIII
And again, Chelsea have had no offers for Lukaku except from us, Sullivan is talking up West Ham's 'targets' to get the fans excited and his 'real' targets to sign under false promise. He's well-known for spouting off about signing players and not actually doing so, at Blues he did it almost weekly.BigFellasAfro wrote:The West Ham link is real and Sky Sports have reported it with direct quotes from Sullivan

No one is saying its a valid link or has any legs.
You said that the West Ham link was just from BBC putting West Ham instead of West Brom. I'm saying it's not, its from the club itself.

So, one question. If GSC receives the TP bids, who receives GSC's bids and when? I just suspect he may be after a target of mine (although I could be wrong).

I won't look at bids until after the deadline passes anyway (I'll probably delete old bids once a fresh one is made), and any bids I make will be sent to Afro.

If you were Lukaku & you had a choice of Baggies, West Ham or Swansea where would you pick?
If Laudrup is still there, Swansea all day

Fair point but Id rather play for a better team & manager. South Wales is good enough for Michu lolsodhat wrote:Zinedine_Ze_Zebra wrote:If you were Lukaku & you had a choice of Baggies, West Ham or Swansea where would you pick?

Phh, better team that finished above us on goal difference?
They'll struggle with the Europa next year too. He should stick around in London and play for West Ham.

Europa football though. Id much rather play under Laudrup's management & have European football where good performances will be picked up on by more clubs thus improving my profile than go to West Ham where my profile will be limited to these shores only, based on good performances. Only way to get noticed in Europe at West ham would be to have exceptionally great performances.

I'm not sure Lukaku will get much choice in it.
Chelsea will send him somewhere where he can get some additional experience he hasn't previously had. For me that is starting regularly in European competitions.

I can't remember seeing any rumours linking him at all.
Move on Kenwright. Why would we want some no body who got given a small fortune to spend and still only just managed to get promotion.

This girl at work on the marketing team wrote her car off last week, thursday.
Next week is her birthday so the bday card is passed around the office. Do you think mine & my teams bday wishes are a bit to early?? Out of order?? All have Happy Birthday at the start:
Mine: Hope you have a great day without any birthday "bumps"
Team member 1: Have a smashing day!
Team member 2: Enjoy your night out, hope your not a write off the following day.

Would anyone else agree with making the two £26.5m TPs separate from the usual TPs? Could cause issues people not knowing whether or not they can sign players without going over the limit if they don't know if they've won a bidding war.

Re: Euro Division Homepage LVIII
It's odd doing two sets of tactics at once, have the same system for both games but different tactics
Proper crunch time, relegation battle and cup final in the same week. I'm Wigan
Even prize money, I could get £10m and £5m if I stay up but lose the cup final, or £20m and £10m if I go down and win the cup! £15m difference based on two games!
