Mick McManus
British Wrestling Legend dies age 93
I'm not going to pretend to be a huge expert on British wrestling, particualry from years gone by, but I know McManus was a massive star and regarded as one of the best British Heels of his time
R.I.P to a true Brit Wrestling Legend

Re: Mick McManus
As a child i grew up watching saturday afternoon wrestling , and went to all the shows that came to City Hall ( they even put on shows at the local council swimming baths were they would drain the pool and put the ring up in there ) so Mick McManus and the other British wrestlers were my introduction to wrestling .
McManus was the super heel ( before i knew what a heel was ) he was the guy you loved to hate , a real showman who played the crowd to perfection .
a sad loss RIP Mick

Re: Mick McManus
A man who along with Rocco and Pallo that were very much ahead of there times. a man who was always someone you would love to hate but was very much a gentleman outside of it. A wrestler that I have very much enjoyed watching while watching back the world of sport era
This is a guy that will be very much missed as an ambassador of the sport and at the wrestlers reunion for sure.
This also leaves 1 of the big five world of sport era wrestlers alive and kicking in the mysterious Kendo Nagasaki
RIP Mick

The first ever wrestling match that I ever saw was an old video recording of Mick McManus and Steve Logan vs Bert Royal and Vic Faulkner. He'll be sadly missed; but what an age to reach!
