No, but I'm very fussy over what I go to see. Don't normally go more than about 3 times a year.

I would have walked out of the cinema half way through The Village, but I fell asleep (a blessed relief) before I could make a quick exit - am I alone in thinking that M night Shamanlayman, or whatever his name is, has made some of the worst films ever inflicted on the movie going public ?

Tell a lie, walked out of one film, a French subtitled one. But only because it was a school trip and so went to buy alcohol while the teachers were occupied with the film.

I was close to walking out during Wolf Creek but thought 'I'll stick it out in case it gets better.' Then it finished and it was rudey poo.

Yep, walked out of Striptease with Demi Moore. Biggest pile of rudey poo I saw since the big pile of rudey poo in Jurassic Park that they searched through to see why the Dinosaur was ill.
Also walked out of The Royal Tenenbaums.
Fell asleep through Mortal Combat - Annhilation and Toys.
Also complained to a guy at Blockbuster after renting Dead Poets Society. I told him he should of warned me how mind-numbingly boring that film was.

Was very tempted to walk out of one recently
"I am number 4"
Turned up at the cinema at like 9 o'clcok, it was the only thing we could see as we would have missed the last train, quite honestly one of the worst "action" movies i have ever seen.

Agree with you on Tropic thunder, although it is the only film I have ever seen Jack Black in that I didn't want to kick his teeth through his head.
Open Water- actually stuck it for aaaaaaaaaages then left, only to be joined by everyone else in the cinema 5 mins later, so it either ended or I inspired them.
Public Enemies - terrible terrible movie and I don't care what people say
The new Nightmare on Elm- just didn't enjoy it, he's just not Freddie

I walked out of Miami Vice and Ghost Town? the Ricky Gervais film where he's a dentist. Both terrible.
Re: Walking out of the cinemas?
One of my mates walked out of 40yr Old Virgin & went to watch Goal in another screen.
He is a deep deep christian mind you, so the sexy time jokes weren't his style - though he should have checked out IMDB to check if there was a walkout possibility beforehand.
(No he didn't believe the hype about the Rapture)

Re: Walking out of the cinemas?
The second half of Tropic Thunder is pretty funny! 2 of my mates fell asleep during inception. It was pretty late but I thought the film was good. Our groups opinion was polarised on that film.

I fell asleep during a James bond, though more accuratly I fell asleep before the film began and my mates woke me up during the ending credits!
I once walked out during Beethoven, a film about a big dog, it was awful to be honest and not suitable for a gang of teenage lads.

Re: Walking out of the cinemas?
I rarely go to the cinema but when I have I've always stayed, even if I think the film is poor. I like to get my moneys worth and think that I've given it a chance. It's like gigs and live matches as well, I would never walk out early.

Re: Walking out of the cinemas?
Never walked out of a cinema yet. Wanted to a couple of times, but it usually takes me ages to finish my drink / nachos / whatever, so I've always ended up staying 'til the end.
Usually fairly picky about what I go to see but I did feel I'd wasted my money on Red Planet (Val Kilmer and a psychotic robot on Mars) and Nacho Libre, among others.

Re: Walking out of the cinemas?
Tropic Thunder was a brilliant film, Les Grossman do I have to say anymore
anyway back to the topic, I only once walked out of a cinema and it wasnt because the film was crap, it was because I had a house party to get to and I had already drank 8 cans watching the film which was Sixth Sense, on the way out though I made it my drunkin point to ruin the twist for the annoying group of assholes behind me which set the night up perfectly

As for walking out the cinema I never have. Never found a film so bad I have to leave.

They only had 1 film on that day, and the cinema had only 1 screen, and they never advertised what film it was until they decided to show it .

It's fantastic!
Though I do understand it's quite a marmite film, I went with a mate to see, he hated it and he's a proper computer game and comic geek (even more so than me).

I went with a few of my mates and all them liked it. Normally everyone different though.
Films you walked out on?
which films have been so bad that you found you couldnt sit through, did you walk out at the start or grit it through towards the end only to be disappointed that you didnt go earlier.
im pretty determined having paid my money and will normally sit through towards the end and havnt see too mant stinkers where i waked out. the one exeception was the first hulk film, walked out on it made even worse that i knew a guy at the cinema and didnt even pay, got about tenners worth of sweets and pick a mix for a couple of quid. i lasted till the sweets ran out and gave up on it.
any other storys where you havnt made the end of a film?

Re: Walking out of the cinemas?
I don't often go to the cinema, and if I do it's usually because it's a film I'm really hyped up about. Fell asleep during Quantum of Solace because I'd been out on the town the night before and hadn't had enough sleep! Fell asleep in the middle of a rubbish film I went to see a couple of years ago with my house-mates. Can't remember what it was called, but it's not one I would have gone to see on my own. (EDIT: It was the Informant)
Don't think I've walked out on a film before though.
