I'd actually agree with T1000 that you are being overly critical. Calling somebody's performance pathetic is a massive over reaction and very poor form, particularly when you're wrong.

I can't believe what I'm reading.
Halfpenny's kicking is absolutely immaculate and his all round game is good too.

Shame his defence, passing and carrying has been pathetic this half then...
What game are you watching...
He saved a def Force try when Best overthrew the lineout and the Force ran 70 M down field. He's been involved in the line attacking...
Halfpenny wasnt Player of the 6 Nations for nothing, and I wont be surprised if he ends up as player of this series.
He made s imple tackle from behind because he was outpaced to the ball even though he had a big headstart!!!
He's carried like a forward, passes poorly and only made 1 or 2 tackles, he has offered little so far, and looks off the pace
Complete and utter crap

Best again laying on the wrong side, then talking to the ref while the 7 taps and goes.
SOB has been good at the flashy stuff but he hasn't the ground game to play 7, and his mistake leads to a try.

That force try might be a good thing for the lions, get them to refocus on their defence.

Show me what 1/2p's done well, I havn't mentioned his kicking cos it has been impeccable! Pathetic was the wrong word but he has been poor by his standards!!!

He has done what he is supposed to do so far, had little opportunity to run, had one tackle that was a bit ineffective, otherwise what more would you want?

Solid but very much unspectacular. I would worry about who is making the lineout calls to keep going long as well givens that it hasn't been working. Ian Evans has been very very quiet as well.

What's he done wrong? You mention that he's carried like a forward, well he's working in no space. He's wrong to carry strongly in that instance?
I'm not saying he's playing well, but he's not doing anything wrong. Certainly not a pathetic performance. Glad you accept it was poor form on your part.

He's been outpaced to a baal from kicked in the 22, despite having a head start, then made a simple tackle. He has carried into midfield and shouldve been turned over twice as first man caught him, and he has made a wayward pass (of very few opportunities to pass)
His kicking has been excellent but his all round game poor, I'm waiting, Petty has been far better when we've kicked to him!!!

AWJ has rivalled POC and Grey today, he has been excellent in every phacet! Not sure if he's calling the lineouts but Bests throwing is killing it not the calls!

Halfpenny is the 15, certainly for the first test. Sexton won't admit it but he's taking a lot of psychological pressure off Sexton with that kicking and allowing Sexton to concentrate on the game management stuff.

What an amazing kicking performance.
This eclipses Dewi Grufydd's perfect kicking performance in the 1898 cup final when banwen beat Onllwyn 3-0.

He was for me too going into the tour, but this performance has been poor for him, and Hogg may be thinking that his attacking option may be enough to creep him in.

AWJ has not come near the performances in the previous game to Gray or POC. Indeed he played better himself when he came on. Workmanlike and solid but not as good as he precious starters. The lineout is a shambles in truth and it is not all down to Best. It's simplistic and unknowledgable to state otherwise. His throwing is most definitely off though bit the timing of the jumpers and lifters is noticeably off. He has been better around the park than Hibbard and Youngs but has to watch the penalty count.

Yellow was a bit harsh there, I thought the lions clear out was poor, and a few forwards slow to hit the ruck.
We should see one way traffic from here on though, Force have defended very well and hard, and they should start tiring.

It's one game blues...and it's perfect kicking. The kicking will be consistent and it'll win games. The rest that you see as his weakness can be improved on in more intense games. He's a big game player.

Totally ignorant comment, Bests throwing is late and off target, he mixed up his signal in the first half too!
AWJ although hasn't been beating defenders, and looking flashy has been the rock of our pack, made the gameline in the tight every time and is the reason SOB or Heaslip have an ounce of space, even Vunipolas profitting in the wider chanells, thats not for no reason, AWJ hasn't taken the ball into less than 3 defenders including wrapping up the 7 lots of times.
Please watch the entire picture as opposed to the flashy stuff

If the Lions are slow to clear out, then it makes his refusal to roll away even more foolish. Definite yellow, no attempt to roll, in the red zone.

He's not close to O'Connell and Gray on this performance and when the lineout is a disaster the lineout captain has to take some responsibility. O'Connell hardly had an immaculate lineout to work with against the Baa Baa's but still produced. He was also much more prominent in the loose, particularly carrying than AWJ who has been very quiet in the loose today. Ian Evans has been even more quiet.

If you consider how few times the Force are attacking then the Lions need to work on their defences.
Two tries in what three visits to the Lions 22?

When Force are scoring they're making it look too easy. Lions going to have to have much better answers in defence vs Australia.

Evans has dissapointed, but AWJ has carried as much as anyone, just watch how many and who he ties in every time, it looks to me like Gats has had a word and said find the openside and hit him every time = Job done
