Well yes it would be a bit of a silly signing in my mind. Good player is Ba, but doubt he'll get a lot of gametime next season.

Pepe isn't pants.

He's a thug, but he's a bloody good CB. You don't get in a Real team managed by Mourinho without being a good defender. Given the competition of Ramos, Varane, Carvalho and Albiol too

I've never been that impressed by him. He's good, but not worth the 26.5m outlay I don't think.

He got absolutely aboooooooooooosed by Lewandowski in the CL semi

Vidal went for 50m and Martinez near enough the same.

I'd say Pepe for 26.5m is far better value

Difference is, Martinez is/was an integral part of my team and worth spending that much on. Pepe won't be that important to anyone's side although I admit if I had the cash I'd sign him.

Vidal and Martinez are both much better players. No question of that. But it's not right to call Pepe pants.

I never questioned need or talent. Just Ollys idea of value.

Fun morning, doctors appointment at 8.40 and missed breakfast. Then got put on a course of antibiotics as a precaution against infection, so can't eat for an hour after.

I think with a full pre-season, Vermaelen can build a good partnership with Monreal. Provided Gibbs doesn't play so much, as he's more of a liability defensively.

Vermaelens just a bit pants defensively

I think he's struggled with two things - 1, injuries and 2, Gibbs. He's not been 10% fit for a while, pre-season will sort that. But it's Gibbs who lets him down, he's not Ashley Cole, he gets forward but leaves Verm/Kosc/whoever exposed. Monreal doesn't do that and he'd be a much better LB for Arsenal.

I'm not really sure why Arsenal would sign Mignolet. Sure Chesney had a poor season but he's young and will make mistakes like Hart/De Gea. But like Hart/De Gea he will become better for it.

Mignolet is decent but not really what Le Arse need

Chesney isn't that great, Hart and De Gea are much better keepers. Plus, he is slightly mental, and his mouth opens a lot when it shouldn't. Arsenal need a solid, reliable keeper. And Mignolet would help Vermaelen again!

Torres could do well in Italy. Pace isn't a requisite like it is in England, so the slower pace of the game might show off his good positional sense. He could bag 25-30 for Napoli.

If Arsenal were to sign a keeper, I could see it being someone like Julio Cesar, rather than Mignolet.

I just think Torres has lost his edge.

I don't think I've seen a sportsman who plays the pressure situations and big moments as well as Novak Djokovic
