This is why we love this game so much. It breaks your heart sometimes, but its an unbelievable show of skill, hard work, effort and guts.

Novak showed he was such a fighter, Andy as well. Lets hope Andy can build confidence from this tournament and start winning some of these big trophies. (except when he plays Novak) Both guys gave us a scintillating semi.

He must take something good away, he got to a point in the match where he was serving to end Djoko's fantastic run.

Not many players can boast that on their CV this year.

Andy has improved on clay and this must be his best performance to date.

Something to build on for sure, two points away from a final but the rest is history

Sorry for Andy. What a match that was. I was disappointed after the first set, but it turned into a real humdinger. Excellent by both.

If Djokovic wins RG, he's still not the king of clay. Maybe if he wins 30 to 40 titles on clay...

Agree with that. I wanted Djoko to win cause he has a more gutsy game but I felt Murray would have the better chance!

Of course Djoko is better than Nadal on clay. Again I said a year ago, Nadal's best surface is slow bouncy HC nowadays. Not clay anymore. I was glad to see Djoko having less trouble in Madrid than IW or Miami.

I did not say Djoko is the king of clay. Nadal won't win tomorrow because of his superiority, but because of the match you just witnessed.
So RG will be a better benchmark

Can't wait for the final with the lengthy rain delay. But it looks like the woman's final is over and the trophy presentation is finished hope we can get this thing going. I have been edgy all day. I don't know what to expect. Novak has the game and the confidence hope he has the legs, he looked like he took a bit of a knock at the end of the murray match.

Djokovic not looking fatigued what so ever. Looks very much like a man on a mission.

Can never tell legendkillar, the fatigue will start showing after about an hour or hour and a half on court. If he wins this match it will be a hard blow for Nadal. But so far he looks good.

come on Nole get into Rafa's service games you have the return to do it!

Patience will be the key today. I think when the opportunity comes Djokovic will need to try and pick off the Nadal.

Nadal serving really well so far, a bit concerning Novak not able to get in to the serving games.

Gonads of steel Djokovic breaks right back to take the set! That has got to hurt, come on Novak you got the rhythm no on the return of serve.

Djokovic certainly is looking just amazing. Nadal fans thought this would be a stroll and it is anything but.

Djokovic is just hammering everything and played a superb set and took the chances when they came.

It's amzing! to see the "greatest player on clay" being given a lesson by a tired and injured player.

Not that Djoko is playing particularly well but he certainly knows how to expose the one dimensional spaniard.

Tenez, I think you secretly have a poster of Nadal with his shirt off in your bedroom, cmon admit it!

Djoko getting into every single service game now for Nadal. Looks like it took him a couple of service games to adjust to the lefty spin, again the Djokovic return looking real strong.

Djokovic is like a sniper at the moment and just taking the shot when it's there.

Nadal struggles from 40-0 but needs to get a crucial hold to stop the land slide. Novak can't have a dip against rafa tonight like he had against Andy, needs to keep up a high percentage of 1st serves.

The long rallies do not favour rafa. He just can't seem to find a way to overcome the Serb at the moment.

Nadal keeps moonballing, especially from his BH, hoping to draw an easy mistake.

A fit Djoko would have already won by now.

Nadal is trying too hard to out hit Djokovic.

When he mixes it up a bit, he gets a break.

I'd like to see Nadal get this set, just to see what a 3rd set would look like between these two.

Nadal is trying to set the points up and Djokovics returns are just too good to get any real purchase on them back.
