Podcast with Clemson Star QB Tajh Boyd

On this week's Press Coverage on v2, Colan Lamont and Jonathon Moar are joined by a true superstar of the college football world - Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd.

Boyd returns to Clemson for his senior year with some lofty aims for the 2013 season, and he talks about those aims and how he plans on achieving them. Before planning for the new season, however, Boyd had to decide whether to declare for the NFL draft or return to Clemson. In this interview, the projected top-end first round pick for 2014 openly discusses what made him ultimately decide that one last year at college was the right move to make.

He discusses Clemson's impressive 2012 season - including his own standout MVP-winning performance in the Chick-fil-A Bowl Game, as well as looking back on the 2011 season, when Clemson of course clinched the conference championship. As well as talking about the past, Boyd discusses Clemson's chances of reaching the National Championship game this season, and what the team's aims ultimately are.

Plus, listen to what he has to say about his two standout wide receivers - DeAndre Hopkins, now of the Houston Texans, and Sammy Watkins, who returns for 2013, and who he thinks will step up this season and make their impact. Also, hear what Boyd has to say about his free time, which includes attempting to take penalties on FIFA and find out which British football / soccer team he follows!
