606v2 is spoiling the Lions for me.....
First topic message reminder :
....and rugby in general I think!
I know, I know: "don't effing read it then". Well, I think I will actually have to delete the app and the desktop shortcut. Honestly, when watching rugby, and a unique series like the Lions, becomes a game of one-upmanship between the nations on the same side, where fans are looking for every flaw in another nation's Lions players so that they can score points for their own, then we move further and further away from the once fabled heights of 'rugby ethics'. It's just not rugby the way people have become on this board!
606v2 is making me cross! I can't watch a game without constantly referring to the ipad to see what people are saying, and for the most part I'm left shaking my head as the general commentary involves barbs, abuse and put downs.
Time to step away before I'm turned off rugby. Sad, but true!

Just above the message box (depend what version you're looking at). You can change to 'classic' at the bottom of the page somewhere

I'm mad as hell here and I ain't takin' it no more!!!!!!
How's that? I'm just trying out my post-first test mode when BOD is sent off with a red for viciously stamping on Phillips.

Fly, I started this post to voice my distain at posters from all 4 nations. I'm fed up of us all doing it including my own countrymen. But again you've started mentioning Wales and then childishly crossing it out and replacing it with B&I, and now counter with the Scotland talk about how 'your' posters are different to others. You're therefore to blame for almost turning this into another slanging match, whether intentional or not. Please stop the mud throwing.
I did this the other day. I voiced my distain at posters slagging Phillips, Lydiate and Farrell and was no doubt attacked for making an honest point. As you can see this thread has descended into anti-wales bickering again with yet more unprovoked comments from the usual nationalists.
For goodness sake, you really are the world's biggest victim aren't you?
I'm sorry you were attacked so harshly for being so honest! Awk the poor dear.

i love POC and BOD, feel somewhat sorry for Healy, i think Farrell is a chump sometimes and Croft bloody awesome, I think Lydiate is lucky to be on tour , Jenkins a special case and Sam questionable as skipper. Cuthbert trumps North on form and Tuilagi can do more than Roberts, Maitland could be my bolter and I want Gray to partner POC (have done for 2 years) I want Tips to oust Sam and BOD to take a Test as skipper. I think Stevens is over rated now.
Basically I am a proud Brit right now and don't give a toss what country these guys are from, they are British and Irish Lions and we are British and Irish fans.
Peace guys, lets do battle on the pitch.
Agree with much of that - we should all be Lions supporters at the moment, regardless of nationality.
I am though finding it ironic how much some Welsh (or at least claiming to be) posters are complaining about the criticisms aimed at some of their players when they are the same people over doing the criticism of Farrell (for example) and hyping Lydiate as being miles ahead of Brown/Robshaw/Wood.
Oh, and I'm still of the opinion that Stevens selection can only be explained by him having compromising photographs of Gatland and Flossie the Sheep (a New Zealander living and working in Wales - surely that on its own is circumstantial evidence of preferring good woolly ovine loving )

Stevens spent his 2 years 'sabbatical' doing ju-jitsu. He's also a Saffa and therefore a thug, who are always handy.

Are they the same as the decepticons, and, if they are, are they the goodies or the baddies?

Griff you need to chill man, everyone has an opinion and most people enjoy disagreeing with each other.
Also it's hard to detect sarcasm on the internet.
Trust your own thoughts on the matter, keep an open mind on peoples opinions but don't let it sway you or annoy you.
The persistent nature of many posters shows there own lack of belief in what they say themselves ,they lack conviction!

I think the media are ruining the lions four nations one team concept with their obvious dislike to the lack of English representation.
Mick Cleary pick a Lons Test team suggestion with 14 England players post AIs 2012, it is a possibility that England might only provide bench players, no starters and this seems to seriously annoy him and his colleagues who show a great deal of deference in their current articles.

Look at it the other way. I'd be highly suspicious if I came on threads and all you read were positive comments. Imagine an Ireland and Scotland thread where everyone agreed with each other.
Sin It's the players' fault for not executing Kidney's astute gameplan correctly.
Rory You make an interesting point there. You've opened my eyes. I'd never considered it like that.
Sin Jinx. I was going to write the same about you. If I could see you right now I'd give you a hug.
Rory Oh what a lovely thing to say. I'm tearing up.
If everyone agreed on these boards it'd be duller than dish water. NZ hands down is the best rugby team. All the rest are pretenders. Yeah fair enough. You're not wrong there mate.
As they say in film making conflict is story. A story without conflict is not a story. It's what drives the emotional thread. Save the fraternity for kick off. Until then you're sworn enemies and you're jolly well going to get your own views across even if they don't like it. You may despise a poster like sin but frankly I admire those people who strongly believe in something and refuse to back down in the overwhelming tide of opinion crashing down upon him. You may not like what a poster says but before you smash the keys in your reply remember why you're so worked up in your haste to reply. We all do it. To err is to be human to be an All Black is perfection.
