As a general rule, if you want a world class player (and by world class I mean a player that I consider to be one of the 3 best in the world in his position at the moment), you will be looking at between £20-25 million.

For a top international with over 30 caps, £17-22 million, and an international with less than 30 caps £15-20 million. There may be some exceptions to this in the case of certain players, but this will be the general rule.

There will be an upper limit of £10 million for uncapped academy aged players unless two or more managers want the player and enter into a bidding war in which case there is no upper limit.

Bids for uncapped players who are over academy age limits will be judged on their own individual merits.

I bid for him 2 days ago pete, but then abandoned him to go for Biggar - so I should be saying the same thing to you!

I hadn't noticed mate, was away for the weekend so not kept up with bids.  I shall need to have a think about whether or not I up the ante for him, as not sure how much senior gametime he will get to aid his development.

These bids over Biggar/Tales are interesting. Would have rated Toomu/Pisi the best left in foreigns and they were picked up without much competition

Problem with pisi is his lack of game time. Superb player. Like toomua. Thought I would get tales cheap. I am at my maximum.

Is Tales the Castres no10? The other no10 Lopes who plays for Beagles (or whatever they are called!) looks good too.

Glad I got Toomua without any other bids! Guys I have Bleyendaal available if anyone wants him, he's a very good 10.
