Impact Wrestling Results for 6/6/13 - The fall out of Slamminversary Empty Impact Wrestling Results for 6/6/13 - The fall out of Slamminversary

Post by Fernando Fri Jun 07, 2013 8:57 pm

Impact Wrestling starts off with a video package showcasing Slammiversary that just aired on Sunday. It shows Chris Sabin winning the X-Division Championship and then Gunner and James Storm winning the TNA Tag Team Titles. Taryn Terrell wins the Last Knockout Standing match. It switches to Dixie Carter as she announces Kurt Angle as the second inductee into the TNA Hall of Fame. Kurt beats AJ later that night. Main event time and it is a brutal won. Bully pulls the canvas from the ring and piledrives Sting on the wood. Sting kicks out and the match continues. Aces enter but Sting fights back. Ray gets a hammer and hits Sting to keep the TNA World Title.

The camera shows Atlanta, Georgia’s crowd and it is a great one. They are on their feet. They are cheering. Music hits and it is the Aces & 8s. Bully Ray comes out through the crowd and he has the TNA World Title over his shoulder. He looks around the arena as he slowly walks to the ring. Ray meets up with Taz and then starts insulting Mike Tenay. Ray gets in the ring and raises the title. Ray gets on the mic and says everyone is happy to see him. Well, they boo after that. Ray wants to introduce himself. He is the TNA World Champion. Ray comes from God’s country… Hell’s Kitchen, New York City. He is the guy who beat Sting at Slammiversary. He is Bully Ray. He says Slammiversary hasn’t been to kind to Sting. Last year at Slammiversary was the first time Sting got jumped by Aces. We know what happened this year. Ray single-handedly defeated Sting. Rumor has it that Sting might even retire! TNA has no more heros. Ray has destroyed everyone. No one can do a damn thing about it. There is really one thing left to do. Ray deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. So, Dixie Carter, get out of the mirror for 5 seconds and come down to his ring…. Ray couldn’t finish his sentence as Hulk Hogan’s music plays and he comes out on the stage. He plays his imaginary guitar with a mic in his hand. He does more taunts as the crowd cheers. Hulk wants the music cut off. This is Hulk-A-Mania country! Hulk comes down the ramp with a white glove on and says he has to give the due as Sting slipped on the banana peel while all of the Aces were around. Hulk gives the devil his due though. Hulk gets in the ring. He asks if Ray really said if he thinks there is no more competition. Hulk calls Ray his, “Son of a B!” Hulk states that the Bound for Glory Series participants will be picked next week in a special selection show. That is next week though. For tonight, here in Atlanta, GA… Here in Atlanta, GA… but Ray tells him to not say it again. Hulk does. Ray starts flipping out. Hulk says Ray will fight this guy tonight… Jeff Hardy! Jeff comes out on the stage as his music plays. Ray can’t believe it. Taz starts freaking out too. Ray gets out of the ring and tells Hulk that he can’t do that. The crowd is going crazy. Hulk can’t just do that. Hulk says, “As a general manager I can do whatever the hell I want!” Since this is Jeff’s first night back on Impact, he wants to make Jeff feel welcome. The title isn’t on the line tonight, but there will be a MONSTER ladder inside the ring. Ray says this isn’t fair. Hulk says there will be something hanging in the balance. It it something that Ray used on Jeff and on Sting on Sunday and it was used by every Aces’ member twice… and it is the hammer! Jeff pulls the hammer out from his pocket. Hulk says, “May the best man win.” Hulk’s music plays.

Impact Wrestling Results for 6/6/13 - The fall out of Slamminversary Empty Re: Impact Wrestling Results for 6/6/13 - The fall out of Slamminversary

Post by Dolphin Ziggler Sat Jun 08, 2013 10:36 pm

Some of the "selling" in TNA is ludicrous. Bobby Roode and Bully Ray go down to the mat in such confusing ways.

Disappointed to see Hogan, Bully n Brooke be the big deal again, Abyss to continue to destroy people with ease and Chavo vs Hernandez was the worst match of the year.

Saying that it was reasonably solid, any show that gives Sabin a chance to shine is fine by me.

How long till Rampage gets a spot on the roster? They were so vague it made the whole thing more silly than it was.

Impact Wrestling Results for 6/6/13 - The fall out of Slamminversary Empty Re: Impact Wrestling Results for 6/6/13 - The fall out of Slamminversary

Post by dyrewolfe Mon Jun 10, 2013 1:35 pm

I sort of see what you mean, but the problem seems to be (as far as I can see) mainly when head-kicks are used. I've seen very few wrestlers in TNA sell them convincingly. I think Aries sells them best, as he just goes down like he's been pole-axed. Everyone else seems to stagger or stumble around a bit before going down.

Hogan and Brooke were actually relatively low-key until the end. Given their current "triangle" story with Bully, its obvious this will run at least until the end of Aces & Eights. Was sort of hoping to see Bully take a hammer to the back, but I guess he needs to be fit to continue to lead A&E.

Of course Abyss continues to destroy people...thats what he's there for. I think his brief appearances actually make it work better, (the monster lurking in the shadows), while babyface Joseph Park gets more camera time.

Chavo v Hernandez the worst match of the year? Did you miss Robbie E vs Samoa Joe? What was the point of that?

Loved the 6-man tag match - easily the best of the night, with all the guys looking good at various points. Agree that Sabin is brilliant.

I was confused by Angle squaring up to Jackson...I can only think they're setting up a future feud, as he's surely going to have to have a few "warm up" fights first...assuming they don't ship him off to Ohio Valley for a while.

Good to see Jeff Hardy back, although it does cloud the picture a little as to who will win the BFG Series and get the title shot. Will it be Jeff or AJ?

Samoa Joe being in a match with no one is better than Chavo vs Hernandez.

I hate parks and abyss, two spots that are being filled by a guy with such little talent.

Hogans white glove was really weird, looked like a massive condom
