Getting tickets to France vs NZ in November
Hey guys, just wanted your help/advice on something.
As all of you know NZ are playing France in Paris as part of the Autumn Internationals. I'd really like to go with a good mate of mine who happens to be American.
Usually I'd go through the NZRU as I did for the Italy game last year but I'm a bit worried about this as they only sold tickets to NZ passport holders, which my friend is not.
I used to live in France so got my concert tickets etc through Fnac and Ticketnet, but have never gotten rugby tickets before. Wanted to know how you'd go about getting tickets as a member of the general public. What site would be the best and when would they go on sale? Would be a great help and appreciated muchly.
Hope you all enjoyed the rugby feast this weekend.

FFR will advertise where the general public tickets will be sold at some point. My experience with such high profiles rugby games in Paris is that once the sponsors and the local rugby clubs (amateur ones) take their cut you wont have much left for general public in France. Last time I went to see France vs Wales I got tickets through a Welsh channel... If I find there is tickets for this game being made available I will let you know.

There's a bunch of roughly respectable looking sites advertising the tickets both individually and as part of packages if you google it. But the prices look horrific to me.

I'm looking at going too DC, so if you find a good ticket outlet do pass on the word, and I'll do likewise.
I expect the NZRU will add about 50% onto the ticket price, based on past years - but as long as you can talk nicely to a Kiwi mate in advance and get their passport number (and a photocopy of the front page) for each "extra" ticket you buy you'll be fine to then take along a non-kiwi.
NZRU have taken the ticketing in-house this year, the new site to register interest is http://www.allblacks.com/ticketingregistration
It's also worth keeping an eye on http://allblacks.com/index.cfm?layout=GetToGame&newsArticle=3737

Thanks Pete. Check the FFR site too. If you read L'Equipe that may be a help as well.
Hey are they ok with that-eg if your Kiwi mate can't come with you to pick up the tickets you just get their passport details and go from there?
Already registered with the NRZU-have emailed them a few times about it as I've lived in each country the ABs are visiting this year so have no need to see crap I've already seen on an overpriced tour. Rather booze it up with good friends and meet supporters randomly like I did in Rome. They've referred me to the allblackstours site which is defunct for some reason. I'm sure we'll be ok but just in case I'm being prudent.

Back when STIL were selling the surplus tickets I just rocked up to pick up the tickets with passport photocopies for everyone who was coming with me - they did check that the passport numbers matched.

So if I were to enter my cousin's passport details into the system when ordering tickets and have them sent to me or get him to pick them up in London with photocopies of mine then his, then he'd be able to get them and post them to me?

Yes I found some of them too. I wonder where they get tickets too as those are not available yet as the venue is not even official...

Re: Getting tickets to France vs NZ in November
There are rumours about a falling out between the FFR and the Stade de France organisers with a possible venue change to Nantes or Lille. Nantes would be cool (lived in Lille so nothing new for me there) but I hope they put things in concrete as it'd suck to get flights and find out the game's not in Paris any more.

BTW I won 2 tickets to the ABs vs Wallabies in Wellington.
Sorry just showing off. I know it doesn't help you.

I see your winning free tickets and raise you getting free tickets to every Wellington test I want.
That doesn't help when you live in Ireland though. Still looking at the FFR site and ticketnet.fr. Pain in the neck.

I see they are selling tickets for France-New Zealand on the 1st of november... but its rugby league
still no confirmation of the location of the AIs test matches. suspect that if they are going elsewhere than Paris there will be a lot of VIP package sellers angry! I'd love to see them back at parc des prince once in while.

I'd love a trip to PdP too.
