O driscoll
Given the way he's playing he should be captain.
Is there a good reason why u need to pick the tour captain before the test captain.
Whats the point of a tour captain?

Re: O driscoll
I guess the thinking was that being injury prone there was no guarantee that he would last the three tests - so they chose Warburton instead

The way he played today, I'd say that BOD should have been given the honour of tour captain.
Before we have a quick whip-round to pay the ferryman to row him over the Rover O'Styx.
His brain is still there, but the body's completely departed.

Is Warburton himself not injury prone?

Re: O driscoll
He is looking seriously sharp. I've been watching him for years and only today realised he (and North) have a quality that you can't teach, they know where to be and when to be there.
The brain is so far ahead of anyone else's. Roberts linked with him well a few times and O'Brien and Tipuric looked good with him in between 12/13 and 13/Winger
He gives you a lot of options in terms of the ability to crash or make space for others using his hands and footwork

Re: O driscoll
Sorry Guns was trying to point out the irony of the situation in that they have chosen Warburton with all the injury, form and leadership issues over BOD who has injury issues.
Given the coaching squad (Welsh lead but admittedly with plenty of English) and the large welsh contingent amongst the squad that a non welsh captain would better help the squad to gel. BOD would have been a better leader and is someone you can rely on to always say the right things.
I had doubts about BOD's ability to last the series and to put him in front of Tuilagi, but so far hes holding up really well- and it seems whoever else is chosen in the centers can fit around him.
