Interview with Michael Bridges. Empty Interview with Michael Bridges.

Post by hampo17 Tue 18 Jun 2013, 7:22 am

I will be recording an interview with former Leeds United player Michael Bridges later this week.

If you have any questions please post them in here and I'll do my best to ask them.

Thanks

If you wasnt repetadely getting injured, how many goals do you think you could have gone onto score throughout your career?

As somebody who made 11 appearances for the England U21s but never graduated to the senior side, does he think the U21s are important?

Have you found moving abroad has made you a better player? Would you recommend it to English players now? And would you have made the move earlier in hindsight?

Can you see Australian football challenging the European leagues in the next ten years? We've seen the American league start becoming increasingly popular with good performances from the national team and big names moving there, with the likes of Del Piero moving to Australia, can the same happen there?

What do you make of the lack of young English talent coming through the Premier League? Do you think that if you were starting out today that you'd make it to the same level of the game as you did earlier in your career?

What was the pressure like on you after Leeds spent £5m to bring you to Elland Road?

If you could bring any player from your time at Leeds to play with you now at Newcastle, who would you choose?

Name one striker you would have loved to have played with in your career?

Being a Leeds player, why didn't you end up at Norwich?

What was it like being at Leeds, going from the Risdale era of high spending, to having to sell all of their best players and ultimately getting relegated?

Being a Sunderland lad, how tough a decision was it to play for Newcastle?

Do you plan to go into coaching/management once your playing days are over?

Why do you think players are starting to move out to the Australian league?

How important was the first spell you had at Carlisle? Did it convince you that your career was not over?

Which club has been the most important in your career?

Why did you come out of retirement again?

How does the quality of Australian football compare to English?

Do you have to manage your fitness daily?

Best player played with and against?

Plans after football with Newcastle Jets or beyond?

How important is psychology in football?
