What policy? He'll sell who he doesn't like, and equally those who don't like him (probably a lot of the squad) will want to leave. Sunderland will struggle if he can't rein in his nutcase approach to man-management.

We've already held talks with him, and he's keen to sign according to the club Director my Mum spoke to yesterday. I'd say it's as done a deal as Higuain to Arsenal.

Well his agent does represent some of the Swedes already at your club, so it wouldn't be a huge shock!

Have looked it up now, a season-long loan is fine as we'd only be paying his (cheap) wages, but it's a complication I'd rather not have to be honest. We need to be building a long-term future, and you don't do that through loans.

I'd want Toivonen up front, Long on the RW, sign a LW (or get Victor Moses in on loan...), and we're essentially set bar a new LB.

Of course what I really want is for us to spend £50m on big name players, but until we have a bigger ground, we can't do that as they won't sign for us in our 27k stadium. Mbokani + Bony for £20m would be a statement and a half, Pieters at LB, Zapata at RB, an Amorebieta-type CB, Nathan Redmond, Tom Ince...go out and spend this new cash and make us even better!

Toivonen plays just in behind the striker a lot doesn't he? Not an out and out.

You need wingers really and I think you'll be alright. I quite like the look of that Rosenborg, should give him a go I reckon.

Knowing how Clarke operates, he'd have Toivonen as the head of a three, with Long and the LW playing off him, moving ahead of him etc. Even Lukaku didn't play as an out and out striker last year.

Rosenberg has a good strike rate throughout his career, but he got off to a terrible start with us. His form was stinking, the fans got on his back, and he only came back into the first team reckoning once the Odemwingie situation arose. If not for that, he'd have spent the season in the reserves.

Shame, as I like the guy, but it's never going to happen for him at our club. He'd be best served moving on.
