Other than Tredders, that has to be the weakest bowling line-up that England have ever put out.
Stokes?
Wright?
Buttler might be ok today, as there's no pressure in step and fetch comedy cricket.

Luke Wright sucks.
I also went to the same primary school as him.
NZ to win comfortably for me, its a very half arsed England team.

Almost forgot this game was happening. Just two quick money spinners for the ECB. England and New Zealand must be sick of the sight of each other by now. Isn't this just pointless?

Decent start from Rankin.
Dernbach and Woakes will go for at least 45 runs each.

Re: 1st IT20 - England vs New Zealand - The Oval
evening all.
have we got woakes and Dernbache out there?
have we run out of bowlers? what a nightmare for us fans to get a kicking again with these selections. NZ will get 300 if the milk this.
and woakes goes for 4 as I type this first ball. Then 6 then 4.
turning this one off, disgraceful insult to the paying fans.

Begs the question, who would win a contest between Boyd and Two Meter Peter?

and nz will go home with a clean sweep having taken on the worst selected England side I have seen in a long time.
geat boost for thm and another kicking to our confidence. The aussies will be loving this, we'll have none left.
shocking selections. If they couldn't see this a a chance to get some confidence back it's a shame.
NZ are utterly superior with hitters like BM to this dross.
33-1 already in sod all overs.

Really don't see the point of these matches being played, especially if England aren't taking the selections (or the match) seriously.
Anyway.... Jade Goody is on now. He will save us.

Oh Trebbs, this is just meaningless. I doubt if even the players are treating this as any more than an exhibition. There's only one thing the ECB care about here - money. Looks like a sell-out crowd as well, so that part has worked at least. Oops, butterfingers from Bopara.

England insult nz and their fans putting this out. they don't deserve the support when they let us down like this. i'm honestly totally peed off with the way they're going. Cancelling my sky when the cheap deal I have ends as I just can't pay for it anymore if they treat us like this.

Actually I've just found out if England win both T20s we'll go from 5th in the T20 rankings to 3rd.

Re: 1st IT20 - England vs New Zealand - The Oval
so back to reality, what are we slumping too with this team duty?
to think we were champs once.
On track for at least 200, probably 220 here. eng likely all out for 100. batting or bowling first would have made no difference.

Need to get Luke Wright into bowling if we want any hope.
Woakes and Rankin should be no where near the team.

Er...well we're not bothering are we? Although there is another T20 World Cup next year I think (shudder). Yes, we will lose today, but I really don't mind.

Re: 1st IT20 - England vs New Zealand - The Oval
Just had a look at England's schedule. Hectic doesn't quite come into it.
10th July - 16th September: 5 Tests, 2 T20s, 5 ODIs v Australia. 1 ODI v Ireland.
21st November - 2nd February: 5 Tests, 5 ODIs, 3 T20s v Australia.
28th February - 13th March: 3 ODIs, 3 T20s v West Indies.
16th March - 6th April: World Twenty20.
Could be at least 75 days of cricket, not including warm-up games!

Re: 1st IT20 - England vs New Zealand - The Oval
they look majestic. such a class up in batting. had they been facing that tiny indian total the other day they'd have won easily.
6 after 6. watching England humiliated like this,it's like we're back to the bad days. we've gone backwards badly as our batting got worse and now the second string bowling is looking very weak too. no depth behind the top few at all now. worrying for the Ashes, Aussie look in better shape, much more depth.

stupid and so they shot themselves in the foot and had to put this out.
how come nz never experiment though? wouldn't it benefit them to roll the dice too against such a weak side?

true. they have no choice chasing a run rate they aren't nearly capable of reaching.
do they have any hopes of selecting.. like actual international cricketers in the next game?
even nas sounded totally peed off.
