Aggie Waltzes past Mathilde Johansson. It's a shame she's in Serena's half as it'd be nice to see her make another run to the final.

Djokovic looking a bit wobbly on the backhand side, surprisingly. Reynolds sticking with him, 4-4.

I could watch Novak serve all day. Absolutely beautiful action.

Djokovic has now found his rythym. Reynolds has been serving really well.

Not over yet (every other tournament I'd say that its done, but Wimbledon13 seems a new kettle of fish)

Not by a long shot.kingraf wrote:Not over yet (every other tournament I'd say that its done, but Wimbledon13 seems a new kettle of fish)
Novak seems a bit flat and Reynolds is serving well and very intelligently.

I'm thinking the exact same thing.

Play cancelled, Robbo not going to be moved onto Centre (disgraceful). Poor show Wimbledon.

Re: Wimbledon Day 4
We've lost some play due to rain, we could have fitted Robbo under "normal" conditions with the time left. I love a late night under the roof.
At least she will be on Centre tomorrow, but yeah, should have been tonight.

Re: Wimbledon Day 4
If I was being cynical could it be that with Federer, Tsonga, Nadal, Sharapova, Azarenka, Errani, Wozniacki, Cilic, Hewitt, Wawrinka there's a lack of star quality about the names left tomorrow and that they would be quite pleased perhaps at getting Robson on tomorrow.

That actually makes sense.

That's a very good point. It's not like Robbo's been added on either, there's still only 3 matches on Centre tomorrow. It seems every top seed on the days Murray plays have gone out but I doubt they'll be struggling to shift tickets!! They probably put Murray on last so everyone didn't come along, watch Murray win and leave.

Re: Wimbledon Day 4
Yeah, I'm sure the Wimbledon organisers aren't happy about the big names leaving so early, must admit there was no real spark about today at all for me. Losing those star names from the tournament will undoubtedly have a bad effect upon this event and the overall atmosphere. There also probably ahead of schedule now with the withdrawals, so holding the games back to tomorrow is their choice and obviously keeping Murray to game three of the day is the main thinking of the organisers.

If I was to have done anything, I'd probably have put Wang/Haas as the most incomplete 2nd round match.

There is more rain due tomorrow. Got to feel for those who still have outstanding matches. More delays.

health and safety isnt it.....again. Apparently its dangerous to have spectators leaving in the dark.

Re: Wimbledon Day 4
I think it's all to do with the public transport in London (the tubes mainly) shutting down at 11pm and having a large number of people who've consumed Pimms wandering about looking for a bus isn't too safe. Too many matches would ruin the court. I still think they could have had one more on tonight (poor Daveed, number 4 seed and shafted twice).

Re: Wimbledon Day 4
I'm obviously a fan of Novak and I love his game on a hard court.
But after Darcis, Stakhovsky and Brown, boy, a match with two players hugging the baseline seemed dull in comparison.

It's 9-8 to Zemlja in the 5th. Dimitrov to serve.

Re: Wimbledon Day 4
God Dimitrov is frustrating - some sublime play and the rest of the time he looks so laid back that he is pratically horizontal! Zemlja very solid and actually won the match but didn't challenge on the ball from Dimitrov that went long on match point. Having said that, would like to see GD come through tomorrow.

I was thinking after Isner's brief appearance yesterday does he now hold the shortest Wimbledon match record as well?

Second shortest and longest in terms of games completed I read.

Re: Wimbledon Day 4
All those upsets the first three days have left me hoping we will get fresh faces at the business end of this year's tournament. But as the excitement is wearing off, I am starting to worry that we will end up with something like Nole, Ferrer, Andy and Almagro in the SF.

Looking at the R3 matches, is it me or have Berdych and Anderson played each other at almost every second tournament this year?

That's almost not an exaggeration. 4 times this year already; AO, Indian Wells, Madrid and Rome. Poor Anderson, they played four times last year as well, and always at the bigger events.
