Who will take shots at goal for the Aussies?
Who is going to take the shots at goal for the Wallabies
Pretty simple one this. I haven't really got a clue either so genuinely very curious (and I need it for my ESPN fantasy team! )

Beale. Reckon he has the confidence to give it another go and start nailing them. Surprised he wasn't put at 10 actually.

I would of thought it would be Beale.
I am still shocked/surprised that Cooper as not been called in after last weeks game.

What shots at goal?
Now the IRB have sent a clear message that Australians are not to attend rucks in case a Lion is accidentally injured and the Lions management have made their feelings clear on the unfairness of a mere SH referee overstepping his remit by adjudicating the breakdown I shouldn't imagine the Aussies would be audacious enough to suggest they might have a chance to shoot for the posts for the rest if the series?

Is Leali'ifano not a serious goal kicker too??

I reckon Leali'ifano will take the kicks but Beale will take the longer ones. I can remember him nailing a great last minute kick from halfway to beat the all blacks a few years ago. No slip ups that day.

Pathetic. And to think you were one of the ones cutting their wrists over Cooper's knee to McCaw's head.

Is there a reason why you can't just ignore a post which is so obviously a wind up?

Hmm, I guess you're right Ozzy. Bit of a moment.
As for the kicker, I got a feeling it will be Beale. If Barnes hadn't been injured it would have been him.

Leal'ifano should take the kicks seeing as is the top kicker in S15. Beale for the long range ones assuming he has his winter studs...

I suspect it will Leali'ifano. He was due to be kicking last week before his unfortunate meeting with JD2's hip. He has been very accurate for the Brumbies this season.

So people are saying I should select Leali'ifano then? My championship (and thus free pints) is resting on your guidance gentlemen!

Australian backs are generally terrible at kicking... Cooper, O'Connor, Beale etc.
Their forwards are amazing though i.e. John Eales, Matt Dunning etc. How about giving Ben Alexander the tee???

Lealiifano, done.
In the S15 and in the past few years the Aussies backs have NOT been generally terrible at kicking, even Cooper has been kicking well, they were just shocking last week

Not test standard.... I think it was last year that in SR none of the AUS players had over 75% success rate. They haven't had someone of a world class calibre for years.... probably since Burke & Flatley (who was never the best 12 in AUS anyhow eps. given he was a 10).
May cost them again on Saturday... I think Jenks is right... they need a kicking coach.

Re: Who is going to take the shots at goal for the Wallabies
That's a good point. I can't really remember an Australia team that had a world class goal kicker. Giteau came close... I would assume Barnes has the highest percentage for Aus.

Re: Who is going to take the shots at goal for the Wallabies
Well not in the last 10 years.... not since Matt Burke (deadly accurate) and Elton Flatley anyhow.
Since then they've had Giteau, Mortlock, Barnes, O'Connor.... none of them above the 80% rate or in the Wilkinson, Steyn, Halfpenny class.

Not bad was he. Davies should have got man of the match last week just for taking him (unintentionally) out the game.
