Re: Fury on Haye
i've got a feeling that Haye might be more reserved in the build and just let Fury run his mouth off, I could be wrong though...

I reckon you're right. Haye will let fury sell the fight.

Confirmed by Haye on Twitter, bhb, awaiting the Fury signature now and then it's on.
Re: Fury on Haye
Will people give Fury the credit he deserves when he takes this fight? Haye is a VERY dangerous fighter for someone with Furys aggressive style.

What do you think? We have some saying that he's ducking Pulev.winchester wrote:Will people give Fury the credit he deserves when he takes this fight? Haye is a VERY dangerous fighter for someone with Furys aggressive style.

Re: Fury on Haye
Well he did duck the fight in order to fight Haye. Thats not a cowardly duck, but a financial duck. And the fact he admitted it makes you look like an even bigger tool for trying to deny it.

I dont buy that Fury is ducking anyone. People on here just hate him it seems. They say he is ducking everyone and these people also said he would never fight Haye. This will be a massive fight but people will still say he is ducking the Klitschkos and doesnt want to be a world champion even though the Klitschkos will find some worse fighter to fight. Dont be surprised to see them offer Price a fight now that they see he lacks stamina and can be beaten. But Fury will manage to get the blame for not being offered a match.

Re: Fury on Haye
Peter Fury stated the Pulev fight wasn't financially viable....they dropped out of the purse bids before they begun....they ducked the fight on financial grounds...ARE YOU THICK!!??
Re: Fury on Haye
All I can find is a tweet from Haye saying that he has signed. Nothing to say that Fury has signed. Am I missing something here? Someone has to sign first, so I am not suggesting any ducking going on, just that the fight is not yet settled.

Fury has tweeted that he is looking forward to his next fight "who ever it will be".
Read into that what you will.

Re: Fury on Haye
So he's fighting a more dangerous opponent for more money and you still claim he's ducking. I suppose if Hearn offers Ward a slave wage to fight froch and he refuses that's a ducker.
Tool.

Re: Fury on Haye
Fury ducked Pulev but for good reason if the Haye fight goes ahead. Haye is just as dangerous an opponent (maybe more so) but brings 5 times as much money to the table and even though Pulev was for a Mandatory position I think if he were to beat Haye he'd be next in line for a fight with one of the brothers anyway if he wanted it and made enough noise so it just makes sense to fight Haye. 99% of boxers would do the same and won't Pulev just have to fight some stiff for mandatory position instead so it makes no difference to him.
If he doesn't sign to fight Haye though when he's being gifted 50/50 as reports suggest he's getting then he's a mug. It would be more money than he can count and I can't help but think he's going to get knocked out against the 1st big puncher he fights, may as well make a shed load of money from it.

Peter Fury has confirmed that Haye has signe this part if the contract and he is happy with both fighters splitting the purse

Haye won't have a huge power advantage...because he has a dodgy chin..
from the available evidence there's nothing to suggest that Fury's chin is any better, so the power advantage remains with Haye, and besides power isn't just about the effect of a punch on the chin-it effects who has the advantage in clinchs, who punches are more painfull who's able to push their opponent off etc, . What I do agree with is that if Hayes chooses to fight like he did against Wlad, then it's an advantage that he may not make use of.

IF the fight happens, and right now (and in light of Fury's past actions) it looks like a big IF, then Fury will get a huge amount of praise for it on here. Only one deluded moron seems to think otherwise. Haye is almost consenus #3 in the world, very dangerous and worth stacks of cash for fighting - can't knock a guy for taking that on. Yes Fury ducked Pulez, but as everyone has said but only one prat hasn't understood, if the Haye fight comes off then it is a perfectly reasonable duck. He'll get more money fighting Haye than he would even as mandtory against a K - which is based on the premise he would win a high risk low reward fight in Pulev.
Fair play and best of luck to Fury IF he signs. Reputation in all but one person's eyes will be in tatters if he doesn't.

Re: Fury on Haye
The problem with Fury is that he ducked Price to fight vinnie maddalone and martin rogan. If he ducks Pulev and fights someone like sprott or some low level fighter than he will lose respect. If he fights Haye he will gain respect. But I don't think he will fight haye.

Re: Fury on Haye
Why should Fury get any praise for fighting Haye?
What other option does he have?
Fight Pulev and get beaten up for pittance or fight Haye and get beaten up for millions?
He's managed to secure himself 50-50 split. It would be moronic if he doesnt take this fight. It would be like finding a winning lottery ticket and throwing it away.

He could duck pulev to fight some more past it cruiserweights which is what i think will happen anyway.

Avoiding Pulev to fight Haye makes perfect sense but if the Haye fight fails to materialise and Fury fights someone else instead (even TT), then I'm not sure how anyone could defend him. His career would start to look farcical.
However, I'm pretty sure the Fury-Haye fight will take place. Far too big an earner for either fighter to turn down.

So you can't point out where I said Fury has a granite chin.
Is it easy to have a fighting heart? Really?

Re: Fury on Haye
Fury's knockdowns have been flash knockdowns - knockdowns very similar to the RJJ and Hopkins shots on Calzaghe. I think it is difficult to say a fighter has or hasn't heart unless he has been in real trouble. Benn against McManaman or Corrales against Castillo for example.

All boxers have balls just to step in the ring. But some have a never quit attitude and some are lacking. Vitali, Ortiz etc all quit when the going got tough. I'm referring to the Ortiz/Maidana fight in particular. The fight where his jaw was shattered is excusable. But it seems that the fight left Price and he gave up.

I agree. Said the same thing yesterday.
Abraham and Malignaggi both fought on after suffering broken jaws. That is serious balls.
