The First TV Cup - Show interest or your b00bs below

As the music cup has ended I guess we should move on with our lives. And by that I mean into a new competition. TV is the next logical step. If you want in lemme know, I'll give this a few days and try to get someone to make it "global" too.

I will look to someone like Adam or Hero (the old vets of the forum) to make sure my topics per round make sense or are worth doing, I hope not to be too linear with things like "fave sitcom" but not too idiotic with things like "favourite extra from a soap" (which is obviously Winston from Eastenders).

Count me in - I'm already thinking of various classic but obscure programmes that no-one will vote for. Don't forget a sketch show category so I can nominate Sid Ceasar's Show of Shows or The Steve Allen Show.

I have followed the other comps and enjoyed them. If there is any spacethen I would have a go. If not, i'll still follow with interest

I'll have a try. Can't do much worse than I did at the music one.

Chris - once you have enough entrants ( say 15 max) I would post up your first toe categories for us to vote on.

My only criticism of some of the music rounds is that they were so broad - try. And make the rounds more specific.

Make sure your inbox is empty too as you will be getting 15 odd pms each week! I would start the first round on Wednesday giving people a couple of days to get their entries to you.

Let me know when it's up and I will global the poll.

I don't have the heart to tell people no! There's about 25 people now. I was going to start with these two:

Round one - Top TV Detective/Crime Fighter. The character, not series. This does not include anyone who would be in a comic.

Round two - Top Children's Cartoon. No Simpsons, but Pokemon will be allowed. Why? I said so.

I could run the first two rounds with some threat of elimination?

Not usually a big telly fan but The Fall ans The Returned (Les Revenants) are 2 of the best things I've seen on TV and would heartily recommend.

Yes indeed. Just going to clarify I mean character rather than series (I'll edit my post) for the crime one.

I should probably also state no one else should join as I'll refuse to say no (no ideas House) but it is bordering on ridiculous. I already had two detectives and a cartoon ive had to ask for a second choice on and thats after 7 people. Theres 28 listed with interest!

Someone devise a clever scheme to sort that number out...

How about if your choice gets no votes you are out?
