Tonight's action
Rose looked laboured. Interesting comment about hiding his injury at the end.
Quigg just started. Looks like he's fighting a midget

Disappointed with the Rose performance but if he was injured then fair enough. Quiggs jab worked well in the first round.

Fair play to Quigg. Considering he's been out of the ring since November that was a punch perfect performance.

Re: Tonight's action
Very sharp from Quigg
He works the body brilliantly and his defence does look like its improving
Always in shape, heavy handed and very big at the weight. He may not win everything but he's dangerous to anyone at superbantam

Won't happen though at least for a while
Warren/Frampton have a TV deal at BoxNation whereas Hearn/Quigg are with Sky and neither channel/promoter would want there fighter making money for a rival

brilliant by quigg. WBA mandatory so it's a case of 'Frampton who?' for now.
been lucky enough to spend some time with him at the gym, watch him train and interview him and joe gallagher about his training. joe will tell you he's a monster in the gym, he lives boxing 24/7 and trains non stop.

Re: Tonight's action
Smith rolled back the years then. Absolutely fantastic performance from Smigger, seemed to have refound his power. That third round could be round of the year.

Re: Tonight's action
Quigg looked very good but still think Frampton beats him. Don't think Quigg wants him, looks nervous everytime he is mentioned.
Rose offering up a bad back as an excuse is just typical of boxers in general. "I don't want to make excuses but ..." Boring and predictable and I don't believe you.
Thought the stoppage in the smith fight was a little premature, but he was going to win anyway I would think.

Re: Tonight's action
Rees is expending a lot of energy early and its being wasted as he isn't really making a dent in Crolla

Re: Tonight's action
Much better from Crolla here. Nice shot selection and he is catching Rees.
Seen Gallegher commenting that he thinks Rees may have damaged his right hand. Have to keep an eye out.

Crolla in the ascendancy here. Body shots making him look a little uncomfortable but not to the extent Adam Smith is bleating on about

Listening to the commentary you'd think Crolla's giving him a pasting

Rees up by a point for me, just nicked the 10th. Crolla needs to throw to the body and then the fight is his.

I'm not viewing at the moment, but as a general point bias towards the red corner/home fighter by the commentators is unforgiveable at times, and just makes them sound clueless.

Re: Tonight's action
Rees is shot, can't hurt Crolla and can't string together combo's
I have Crolla up going into the final but many rounds where close regardless of what the commentators would have you believe

Re: Tonight's action
Most biased commentary team you'll ever hear. Rees outworked Crolla for the majority of rounds and Crolla is picking them up with one jab. Joke.

This MC has been terrible all night: Didn't announce Dodson's name, Announced Paul Smith's as some incomprehensible noise, just gave away the result then tried to build suspense and how long did he drag out the word World when announcing Rees?

Re: Tonight's action
Will be hard to get remotely excited about a Burns-Crolla fight
Granted he won tonight but Rees looked exhausted by the 6th and yet still managed to nick rounds off of him

Re: Tonight's action
Sounds to me like Rees is finished, and Crolla barely good enough to beat a washed up Gavin Rees - how can he be touted as a potential world title proponent? Truss will love this...

Re: Tonight's action
I thought Crolla did the far cleaner work. His style is more eye catching generally but I thought he picked his shots very well. Rees got very tired and a bit wild, he kept working hard but the quality wasn't as good for me.

Re: Tonight's action
What does Crolla have to threaten Burns? both light punchers so no advantage there, he will be giving away strength and size, Burns is faster, he is fitter, moves better, better at long range and Crolla is not effective enough inside to take advantage of Burns.

Re: Tonight's action
I thought crolla did enough, but glen mcrory had decided he'd picked crolla to win, and the commentary was terrible.. Think that rubbed off on adam smith, and he starred only seeing crolla's work too.
FairPlay to crolla, Rees didnt look himself, but still needed beating
