Will Padraig Harrington ever win again?
Is Harrington ever going to win again?
As a Padraig Harrington fan, it has been now 5 years since he won the European/PGA Tour. Do you guys think he will ever win another tournament? If so do you think he will ever win another major

No. He makes far too many mistakes to ever win again. He is also not helped by his bizarre attitude to the game and all the odd ball philosophy he seems to have been taken in by.

Just got a feeling he won't. Still good enough and knows how to, but over the years of tinkering he must have more swing thoughts than clubs.

I'd say he might get another tour win. Also agree with the comments that he's gone down the wrong road with the swing tinkering and gone too far with all of the mental aspects.

No, unless he enters Europro or Challenge Tour events.
Best comment I ever heard about him. When he was playing well and contending, one commentator said that Padraig has the most wonderful short game, met with the response - he needs it.

Yes he could win again. But most likely only if he enters a minor ET or Asian tournament.

Yes and yes. His tinkering and sports psychology stuff are over stated. Saw an interview with him the other week where he said the biggest changes he's made were between majors 1 and 2. He's always tinkered, he's just got more attention on him now. Key thing is he believes he can win

Re: Is Harrington ever going to win again?
He is able to play some good rounds but is struggling to string them together. If he strings them together he can win a tournament and who is to say that tournament can’t be a major.
As for his tinkering, well he has done that his entire career. As an amateur he was recognized as being the best putter in Ireland. The day he turned pro he decided to switch and put cross handed, and of course now he has switched to the belly putter. Most pros out there are tinkering with something Harrington is just one of the guys that talks about it.

Yes, on the basis that ANYONE who tees it up in any tournament on a Thursday morning can win, he's won before so knows how to do it, he believes he can, he has the game (when on it) so why not?
How long had Clarke ben winless before RSG?

I believe it's likely that he will win again, but i can't see him winning another major.
His mental attidude, once his strength, is now a major weakness........

Re: Is Harrington ever going to win again?
Thinking about it, Harrington is as likely(or not) to win a major as any other event really. In fact over the last couple of years, his best performances have been in majors. He tends to struggle to get over the line in tournaments(hence his 30-odd second place finishes) but in majors seems to find something extra.

I said No but I took the question as majors.. Yes I am sure he will win other events.
