Deulofeu on verge of joining Everton. Would be a good signing, but I don't remember him playing for Wigan. It seems to breach our transfer policy

Happy enough Viva. Why? Not my first choice, but I think he is decent enough and I'll give him my full support. Was only a tongue in cheek comment as all three of our signings so far played in the Wigan cup final team.

Marin went last month I thought.

If it helps Trebs, I'd say that Gomez-Ibra would be a great partnership. Ibra loves to come deep, drift wide, get involved, while Gomez stays up top to wait for the ball. They'd complement each other quite nicely I reckon.

Morning,

Thiago to be unveiled as a Bayern player today apparently.
Bit disappointing if we miss out on him but I have always said I want Strootman more.
Dont understand how he thinks he will get more match time at Bayern.

Bayern don't need more CMs, although I suppose Pep might want to stamp some authority on the team and start building it in his identity.

Viva, apparently Thiago's agent is Pep's brother. If true I can believe it. Also why is he taking so long to sing for us when persoanl terms are agreed & the release clause has been triggered? Barca cant delay it so only other reasonable reason is hes mulling over another team.

I dont get it either Soddy. I said on twitter which Marky replied to, Bayern have Martinez, Schweinsteiger, Gustavo, Muller, Kroos, Gotze who can all play in the central roles Thiago plays in.

Viva, Strootman isnt going Roma. They are just interested like a host of other clubs. Reports & rumours say Roma have made an official bid which Man United or no other top clubs have.
Strootman has publically said he will take him time over deciding which to me suggest he will wait for a "top 6" club to make an offer as none so far are from such club.

Roma aren't really a top club anymore. It won't be too difficult to break into the top bunch in Italy with the way things are at the moment of course, but between them or United, you have to take United.

Azzy remember last season Man City were supposed to win the league according to you and even when we were 10+ points ahead it was more to do with them being a poor side then United being good. I'm confident enough that with the side we have know we will challenge for the title an be there or thereabouts come May.

Yeah I did read somewhere that thr agent is Guardiolas brother. Someone did say that Thiago is on holiday so thats why the personal side are yet to be confirmed. I'm not worried about Bayern at the moment nothing really strong or concrete enough to back the claimsml.

I do remember, Man City really sh@t the bed last season. Yaya was a poor imitation of himself, and he had no support. But now he's back on form and has Fernandinho alongside him, Chelsea look amazing, Arsenal have Scholes+ back fit and Cazorla alongside him, and Spurs have signed Paulinho. If United don't sign someone to play alongside Carrick, I can see them losing the big games that decide the title.

United were ruthless that's what it was to quote Joe Hart "They are a killing machine" When City slipped up United punished them by constantly picking up points City were destroyed by United being relentless and not giving them any hope we killed their soul.

Chelsea look amazing? Where on paper? Same side no Cavani no Falcao where is that potent striker?

What has Wilshere done at arsenal yes proved in one off games but a league season is different where you need to be consistent. Spurs already have a very strong midfield yes Paulinho may enhance it but its a top end striker they are missing. Its the smaller teams where the title is won or lost.

I always enjoy a title race but ill be honest, I enjoy watching Man United run away with it much much more. To see & hear all the haters (like one big one hear) make up excuses for every other team who failed to compelete with Man United just makes me laugh

Viva, Chelsea now have Lukaku. He's better than Ba or Torres. And they've added Schurrle, Essien, van Ginkel. They've improved tremendously on the pitch, and off it, they have the best manager in the PL. If you don't think their team on paper is better than United's, you have a screw loose. If Mourinho can pull that quality together again, as he did before, Chelsea will walk the league.

A street footballer in his teen years, Malouda gradually developed into an interesting, new football talent, able to penetrate defences with his technical skills and imaginative play.
I must have missed that, for, like, his entire career Laugh

SAF is till upstairs, he can talk to him when & if he wants. Hes been clear on saying he misses Manchester & United as a club & his work mates there. Hes open in saying he still speaks to people at the club. I honestly think he wouldnt go to another PL clubs. I think he understands Man United made him a star, hence his emotional tie to the club.

It's different someone being a director vs them being your direct manager though. If he constantly went above Moyes to Ferguson, how would that look?

I'm not saying he doesn't have a deep affection for United. I just imagine he has a deeper affection for himself and money.

Lukaku is hardly a Cavani or Falcao if he is better then Torres or ba its by a small margin lets see if he can reproduce last seasons from at a much high pressure level.

Where did I say United have a stronger team then Chelsea on paper? Last season Chelsea had a lot stronger team then United on paper and what happened? I wouldn't say they'll walk the league and remember this isn't 2004-2006 Mourinho will actually have a challenge unlike the last time when United were going through a redevelopment of the squad and what happened when fergie built a new united team Mourinho ran away and only came back when SAF retired. Essien?? Haha Azzy you're living in the past the guy is finished why did Chelsea loan him Ginkel will not get a chance and Schurle who knows but I don't think he is on the level to dictate where the title will end up at.

Mourinho was sacked but I bet if he had no competition like 04-06 he would have stayed. The reason he was sacked was because of the pressure Sir Alex presented to him and he couldn't cope.
