I think that is bizarre conjecture there, Viva. He had a well documented falling out with the owner and the way the club was being structured.

If Mourinho wanted to stay he would have but took the cowards way out, he preferred it when United had the likes of Smith and O'Shea as our midfield generals.

He came back to England when he was sacked by Real Madrid. One of the biggest clubs in world football. In a season in which they knocked United out of Europe. He was hardly hiding away, cowering from Ferguson. I think he wanted to go to United but they wouldn't have him, so he went back to Chelsea.

Lukaku scored more PL goals than Rooney last season, on a much inferior side, so I'd suggest that he's a significant improvement on Ba (who scored a lot less) and Torres (8 in 36). He might not be Cavani or Falcao, but he's got an extra 10+ goals in him for Chelsea that they don't have right now.

And I never said Essien was going to play, only to illustrate that they've strengthened their squad and United haven't.

Mourinho had a strained relationship with Abrahomovic from day one why didn't he leave then if he was a man of honour. Fact is he loved the sweet life knowing very well that United are going through a rebuild and Arsenal are not a threat he had it easy for the first 2 years and when United had a squad to challenge Mourinho like a Cat backed off he did the same at madrid but blames other factors rather then that he is scared. He had many chances to come back to England but only did when Sir Alex retired.

The media has really brainwashed you lot with the bumming of Mourinho yes he is a good manager but not as good as you lot make him out to be.

Mourinho left Real and returned because he wasnt doing well & it was ruining his personal reputation.
If you think different you need to take an in depth look at his tenure at Real Madrid, his failures, his decomposing relationship with player, club & the media.
He wasnt liked in Spain, his ego could hack that.

Being sacked is less of an embarrassment for Mourinho then being called a quitter if he handed in his resignation.

They needed a very very poor decision to beat United no way would they have scored, I wouldn't see that as a victory and Mourinho even said the better team lost.

Mourinho is a coward you can smell it off him what's that Barca manager called when he poked him in the eye from behind. Mourinho has fooled you but not me I can see the coward he truly is.

Was Rooney played as the focal point of Uniteds goal threat? Was Lukaku played as a CM last season or as a wide forward? No so stop picking and choosing and look at the bigger picture. A Cavani or Falcao would win the league for Chelsea a Lukaku will win a few matches. Dont bring your bias for Belgium into this, Lukaku is not better then Ba or Torres they are around the same level.

Strootman is the man to play alongside Carrick. He isnt joining Roma, they have just made a bid. No elite team has made an official bid for him, hes said hes not rushing his decision. I reckon he is waiting for a top team to bid. He wants in the Dutch team for the World Cup. We are perfect for that as he will get match time. Hopefully RVP & Butner can convince him.

Strootman is all but signed for Roma from what I have seen. I think everything has been agreed between clubs and player, and it is just a case of Roma getting the finances in place as PSV want all the fee up front, so Roma are having to get loans to do that

 I would imagine having other Dutch people at your club would actually be a hinderance in getting someone Dutch to join.
