YOUR LAST SHORT WORD B4 TEST .............
' We don't need creativity the way we play, the centres are told run hard and straight, they do it. Everything else follows ' Tom Shanklin when asked why james hook was no longer required by Wales.
'Warren Ball' as Sir Clive says. And thats it in a nutshell. I said lions would play like wales, no takers at the time on here.
btw, I agree hook is now surplus to requirements.

I will quote me old friend Jeremy Guscott in his Rugby Paper this week:
"The Lions need to start playing like Wales not England"

Ruby, if I may, I'd like to shorten Jezza's quote: "The Lions need to start playing rugby..."!

My poor and twisted friend. "Gatlandball" is "Englandball". England won a World Cup playing this style. Of course, that was 10 years ago and England were pretty good at it............RubyGuby wrote:

I couldn't agree more and he hates Wales; that why I found the headline amusing

The main difference is that England knew when to take drop kicks

If Gatlandball is based on the England World Cup Winning side, who is playing the part of Jason Robinson?ScarletSpiderman wrote:doctor_grey wrote:My poor and twisted friend. England may have played a limited game but Dawson, Greenwood, Robinson etc provided far more guille than this Lions side posseses.

"I" looks a few pixels shorter than "a" imo. I haven't bothered getting the micrometer out mind.

Re: YOUR LAST SHORT WORD B4 TEST .............
Warren Gatland is certainly a brave man to drop Drico and appoint Wynn Jones as has been discussed ad nauseum on these boards. I hope though that AWJ and Davies have a stormer as Im sure they will. Realistically I think that if the Lions play the same way they have played in the first two tests they will take the Aussies to the wire especially with the suberb kicking of Halfpenny. However honestly I cant help feeling that if the Lions just showed a little more ambition, creativity and endevour we could outscore the Aussies by a decent margin. In my opinion they are there for the taking and now it up to Gatland to show us he has the nous to out think them. Sorry cant sum it up in one word or can I?
