Redemption is here. David Price has the chance to gain revenge over Tony Thompson, and I have gone on record during this weeks podcast, saying Thompson will win again.

We also have Prizefighter: The Light Welterweights. Kevin Mitchell will also be appearing on the bill.

wow, just wow.

it was something i just wasn't expecting. ok i knew thompson could win but for price to just drop his hands and run out of steam so soon? it was surreal to watch.

yes he didnt go down but the shots he took has an effect and he didnt seem to be able to recover. if the 3rd (think it was the 3rd,possibly the 4th) went on longer he would have been out then.

price was understandably nervous but it looked like his punches really shok up thompson but he is a tough old b-stard.

tony thompson - what a guy. i really like how he's come across both in the ring and definitely out of it. what a guy.

love to see him vs fury or chirora, purely to see more interviews.

Not at all, when he was floored last time people made out he could not take a punch. While he may not have a VK type chin he showed tonight he CAN take a shot in fact he took some solid hooks and upper cuts and replied with punches...

That is what remains to be seen; how much can he learn?

i think his chin is ok (not great) but the shots he took clearly had an effect. thompson wasnt throwing with real venom, his punches were slow but well placed and timed but not big hayemakers. if a haye or wilder landed he'd still be out cold now.

that said, if price lands a big one of his own he could take out anyone.

To be honest Price can't box in the pros. His footwork is terrible and don't get me started on his balance. His jab is just stupid at one point it looked like all he wanted to do was paw his jab and hold thompsons hand.

A guy that big should have a ram rod jab. With an effective jab you can control fights, tempo, distance, and defend as well as attack. Where is Prices jab?

Just looking for that big right hand, Haye is the same. Maybe British boxing is to blame here.

Bad judgement from Price's camp. Thompson was the biggest test either he or Fury faced, to rematch so soon was ill-advised. TT is still a world-level fighter, so maybe Price is two-three years off.

I would agree, but I dont think ability is where he lacked, I think his defense can be a bit daunting at times but his skill set and power is very good and he can take a punch. The issue I think is mental, it all depends on if he can rebuild the confidence to come back and learn from his mistakes.. he will either learn from it or be haunted by it and it will be over. But to say he has no talent is Tripe IMO, he actually gave Thompson a very hard fight, who is regarded as a good world level fighter who came into the fight full of confidence. He needs to go for lunch with Audley Harrison and take a few lessons on self belief from him, as that kind of self belief would not be out of place with Price...

I also think maybe Frank Melonie is not the man to guide him, he said him self he did not want the rematch. If that was Warren and he did not want it, he would have not taken it, simple as that... he should have gone back in with lesser level opponents to gain his confidence back, not go back in with a world class operator who had just knocked him out.

As for fury, I agree he is a talent and has age on his side. But I am not sure what he has shown that proves he is so much better than Price, although he may go on to prove so.
