Foreign Transfers
First topic message reminder :
As a general rule, if you want a world class player (and by world class I mean a player that I consider to be one of the 3 best in the world in his position at the moment), you will be looking at between £20-25 million.
For a top international with over 30 caps, £17-22 million, and an international with less than 30 caps £15-20 million. There may be some exceptions to this in the case of certain players, but this will be the general rule.
There will be an upper limit of £10 million for uncapped academy aged players unless two or more managers want the player and enter into a bidding war in which case there is no upper limit.
Bids for uncapped players who are over academy age limits will be judged on their own individual merits.
Current Bids Under Consideration
stnick88 - Netani Talei - £16 million (06/06/12 - 15:12)
anonmattyt - Karl Chateau - £13 million (06/06/12 - 14:50)
Arry - Ben Daley - £15 million (06/06/12 - 12:22)
dammit_chris - Sebastien Taofifenua - £11 million (06/06/12 - 12:04)
Steven_Sharks - Iain Henderson - £5 million (06/06/12 - 11:34)
Ozzy3213 - Dewaldt Duvenage - £12 million (06/06/12 - 11:33)
prop_lyd - Eli Walker - £5 million (06/06/12 - 08:49)

Cane is a top player. Many can't decide between him and Whitelock as to who is the best prodigy between the two.

I like the look of Cane but behind Hooper and probably Gill too in terms of development.

Re: Foreign Transfers
I'm not particularly after any position. My wingers should get better rated as the Super 15 kicks off.
Tapuai went on the Oz tour so is clearly in amongst it but won't get a look in if JOC goes at 12 in the long run. Also gives me the Reds 10, 12 and 13 which is pretty useful as a unit.

Re: Foreign Transfers
Yea Morahan is a real talent, just needs a bit more exposure I think.
I really like Sadie & Francois Venter as young centres, Venter would add another dimension to midfield too. A big hard carrying unit

I'd add Jaco Toit to that Matt the Lions full back.
Quins bid 10 mil for Johann Sadie. (Also got 8 mil on Hooper).

Re: Foreign Transfers
How can SJE's bid for O'Mahony be accepted last night when he only put it in yesterday afternoon? If it's less than 12 hours from bidding to being accepted then my previous one should have been accepted before SJE came in and outside it.
Not Happy.

Re: Foreign Transfers
Rule is 24 hrs from bid surely. We need consistency omahoney is still up for bids surely

Re: Foreign Transfers
Is it definatley 24hrs? I can't remember that been a written rule.
If it is, Driver might have just slipped up. There loads of bids floating about and it's hard to keep track sometimes.

Re: Foreign Transfers
Was after another young back rower - was between Sam Cane (who I thought was 21 so didn't go for) and Hooper. So £6.5m for Cane.

Re: Foreign Transfers
Driver how did Mat get Goosen for £6m and mine for £8m for a player with far less first team experience get rejected? Also Steven's Hooper bid was for £8m and again he has more first team experience?
Not really sure I am following the whole thing atm in terms of how much you need to bid on players?
