Who do you prefer?

A discussion on the 2013 Summer transfer window thread got me thinking about who you prefer out of Romelu Lukaku and Christian Benteke.

Now I personally think both players are fantastically talented and I think that they have amazing futures ahead of them.

Last season Benteke scored 19 goals for Aston Villa and Romelu
Lukaku scored 17 goals for West Brom whilst on loan from Chelsea.

I thought I would ask you all, Who do you prefer?

Would say that though.
Lukaku was good last season.
 
Some of Benteke's play and goals were worth the entrance fee alone.
 
Back heel for Weimann's goal at Anfield was great to see.
His goal at the Hawthorns was a wonder strike.

Those 17 goals, is that league goals, or all competitions?

Benteke scored 23 in all last season.

Lukaku got 17 in EPL and Benteke got 19 in EPL that's really all that matters. Also Lukaku probably played a vast majority of those games from the bench, whereas Benteke was a starter.

I would go for Benteke at the moment. Technically very good and better than Lukaku in that department in my opinion. Still both learning and improving so could all change.

I think Benteke is the better player at the moment, however I think Lukaku has more potential

Think Lukaku is a bit special, Chelsea should bring him back into the fold and try not to ruin him.

Choice for next season - Benteke; Choice for a 5 yr contract - Lukaku.

If i had 25 million i'd go for Benteke, i think he'd walk into almost every team in the Premiership whereas Lukaku struggled to be first choice at West Brom!

My point was that Benteke would of walked into the West Brom team and probably would have been the first name on the team sheet

There's probably also a reason why Lukaku went to Chelsea for 20 million and Benteke went to Villa (no offence) for 7 million.
