Grand Theft Auto V.

Hi all,

I, like many others i'm sure are excited about the release of GTAV on the 17th September 2013. I am extremely excited about this and today there was a gameplay trailer released and i have to say, like the other trailers so far it looks absolutely amazing. I think this game is going to be one of the best of all time. It is releasing for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 on release.

I haven't seen the gameplay yet, think I'll stay away for the timebeing as 17th September is too far away :p

I've had mine on pre-order for a while now and happy coincidence is that a couple of days after it comes out I already had two and a half weeks booked off work so thats worked out pretty nicely

Just been reading apparently the map is so big it could fit the red dead, Gta IV and GTA san andreas maps inside it

A friend of mine just got a job this week working for Rockstar. His first job? Designing street signs, posters, and general graphics for GTAV. What a job!

The online bit looks something like Second Life.
I've never played it or have much interest in it but a GTA Second Life..... i'm up for that!

The map is 10x as big as the one of Red dead and i think it was 5x as big if you included the underwateer stuff.

i think the online will be a massive free-roam of do what you want, when you want kinda thing with the usual game modes, hope you can play poker,tennis etc with your mates though that would be cool

Looks insane. Didn't want to watch too much but looks incredible.

I've watched this 3 times now and I can't wipe the smile off my face. This is going to be the best game. Ever.

I've watched it around the same amount of times if not more now and every time i watch it i see new things every time because there is just so much detail involved and it looks amazing. I agree that it will most likely be the best game ever to date in my opinion.

This game just looks massive. I suppose you'll have to have multiple discs for it.

Mountains, golf, tennis, stock market, an economy, multiple endings, wildlife, customisation, 3 characters, humongous map, parachutes, a storyline etc. etc.

nope im not but ill get my parents to buy me it or preorder it and ill pay the cash  

I had the same problem with TLOU luckily when i did eventually find it at a store after a month of seraching my mates mate was 18 a few days ago and had his passport with him so gave him the cash to get me it

50 days today untill GTA 5 releases

yeah dont matter im hyped and it sure will be better than the Poopie known as COD  

Depends if you're into that kind of game. I'm not, I wouldn't play GTAV if you gave me a XBOX ONE for free to play it on

fair enough but i despite COD so you get what im getting at prefer story driven games  

Shame the stories in the GTA series are such drivel then

getting GTAV for the fun Azzy haha, though the story looks not too shabby tbh, never liked COD campaigns only one i enjoyed was Black Ops as that was a very good campaign with the MK Ultra/JFK stuff.

Yeah but working on the game must be tiresome and you have no real excitement of the release because you already know it inside out. Its like cooking a meal and the sitting down with everyone and your too tired or lost interest in actually eating it.

Call me pessimistic, but I'm worried this game could be too ambitious, this could make me sound a right Cat of a gamer and I've never had any trouble with GTA games before (though I got bored of 4) but I hope the scope doesn't interfere with the pick up and play nature I loved about the games, particularly with the 3 man missions.

Still given the track record of Rockstar I'm probably worrying about nothing.

It is, after all, the most anticipated video game in human history.

Good! i want CoD off the list and what better way for everyone too get behind then GTA! (Xbox,PS3 fans unite!)

He didn't know. But he has played the game for 3 hours this week and says the hype is going to result in a let down for some people. But that it's still brilliant.

I bloody love GTA, I dont enjoy barely any other games anymore, Last of Us didnt grip me enough in the first hour to make me pick it up again, but GTA always blows my mind.

Last of Us did not grip you are flipping crazy? Its the best game ive played on PS3!

The emotional connection is phenomenal, i almost cried 3 times no other game has ever done that!

oh and if you have only played the first hour then you cant claim you have played it, thats like judging a book without reading it "I read the first chapter got bored"

Funnily enough Bull, you judge a book on less than that for publication.

I played just over an hour and it didnt make me want to play it again. Thats a failure to capture my imagination. End of, not saying the game is bad, just never captured me.

Indeed. I hope to get round to it eventually, but maybe I suffered with people saying it was going to be amazing. Maybe its age too, I dont think I care so much about games anymore, I rarely played at uni, occasionally finding time for Saints Row cos it was very pick up and go.

Saints Row 3 is an awful game, 2 on the other hand was very good, SR4 or the other hand looks like DLC crap even if its a full game.

Looks good from what I've seen, probably get it for Xmas though. When's GTA V set, era? Must admit, getting the soundtrack right plays a huge role for me in it's success.

I think it's set in the current time John so I'm pretty sure there will be some recent songs however I think there may be some older songs too.

yeah i think its recent but some songs from GTA:SA could make an appearance!

Though GTA:Online wont be in the game when it is first released you will have to wait 2 weeks after launch in order to access Online, guessing that a code will be in each bought game that you can use when Online is released

I'm getting a free copy of this from my mate. I told him he'd have to bring it to my house because there's no way I am traipsing up to London and paying money on my Oyster card!
