Kell Brook Will Win a World Title
Mark my words, thought his timing and punch selection was excellent last night. Jones is a tough dude and just does not stop coming at you so you're bound to take a couple, but Brook put him in his place. Good performance.
As for these absolute nimrods that are constantly crying "Brooks ducking fighters" you truly are muppets.
He had a chance to fight Alexander, the only reason he didn't fight Alexander was because, Alexander pulled out with a "bicep injury", that looked like he really was looking as though he was pulling out for a chance at a major payday against Mayweather, and then Kell himself got INJURED. NOT DUCKING, INJURED. There is a big difference, he SIGNED TO FIGHT THE GUY, and the was INJURED. If there's something you take from this article it's that Kell GOT INJURED, and isn't DUCKING anyone. INJURED. INJURED. INJURED. INJURRRRREEEDDDDD!!!
Not ducking.
People then go on to say Kell is a European level fighter, not a world level fighter, well, its been made pretty clear that with his performances of winning every round with consumate ease against Matthew Hatton he isn't a European Level fighter or the ease he beat down Jackiewicz who is generally a European level fighter.
He's gonna win a world title, most at 147 are very beatable and MArquez is very small for a Welter and is old now, despite defying age and catching Manny out.
Can't wait for the I told you so.

I haven't said much about Haye recently, nothing to add as he's saying very little. You on the other hand are still the transparent little wormy WUM you've always been.

I think most people would say you're a WUM over me considering all you do is cause arguements and pi$$ and moan about Haye changing his hair or something and criticising him over every single thing he does.

Brook has all the tools to do damage at world level, he needs to keep moving forward now though anymore back steps in his career at this stage and he could miss the boat. Anyone with an once of a clue about the noble art can see how good Brook is, The boy has decent power, good chin, reasonable speed, great timing and skills, the problem he has as many in the game will tell you is he is a nice quiet normal bloke not a big mouthed idiot like some lesser talented fighters who are now making big money. Sad state of affairs but not acting the Wayne Kerr has held him back compared to other British fighters.

If he hadn't of ducked Alexander he might of been a belt holder by now.

Of course Kell Brook will win a world title. There's so many of them, he's bound to get at least one of them.

As I said I haven't said much about Haye recently. Most people see him for what he is. That wasn't always the case.

this whole thread just seems so angry and is full of insults. Who cares if kell brook wins a title or doesn't, it doesn't affect me one bit.

I think if you take away the Floyd and maybe Manny (Depending on how his form pans out now) the Brook has a chance of beating any of the rest... and he is most defiantly above Euro Level.

Based on that comment why do you follow the sport cos I'm sure no result really effects your life in any way. So stupid comment really.

If mayweather loses to canelo it makes no difference to my life, I'm not going to be upset by it, I just want to see an entertaining fight.

Re: Kell Brook Will Win a World Title
Kell is a good boxer, dull as dishwater and cannot handle the media to save his life though.
He's never ducked, his career was actually going pretty well - the "prospect" tag was being levelled at him far too often, as he should have realistically won a World Title by now, but fate is a cruel mistress and has just put more obstacles infront of him that like it or lump it, he's gotten over.
He'll be 50/50 with any "champion" outside of Marquez/Mayweather, maybe even Pacquiao because Kell himself isn't a pushover, he's a big strong welterweight. He'd beat Maglinaggi, Broner is over-hyped and although he did well against Maglinaggi, if you're not stopping Maglinaggi you're not setting the world alight. Not to take away from Paulie, as he's a fantastic boxer, but realistically he's what I see the difference between good and great as being in the WW division.

Re: Kell Brook Will Win a World Title
Kell's lack of power is going to be his achilles heel........I wasn't back in time to see the Jones fight but apparently he struggled to get him out of there..........just like he couldn't with Hatton's brother.........
Kell can be hit too..........
I think you can't rule him out winning a world title but he does semm a little bit more limited than he used to be..........

Carson is a tough SOB and Hatton has never been stopped, he even fought Alvarez and took him the distance so i think you're reaching when you say he has no power.

Maybe you're right...But to me he lacks bite and worse.. switches off in fights......giving opponents a chance they shouldn't have..
Then again I haven't sparred with him...

Kell has it all to prove. Its been that way for a long time.
Only he can provide the answers. Not sure how much his heart is in it myself.

If he was Irish he'd have plenty of heart in it...no doubt.

Re: Kell Brook Will Win a World Title
I don't think his power is anything to write home about but thats not the big problem for me.....its his engine, or lack thereof...he needed to take at least two rounds off saturday night and all he had to do is hook someone that stood in front of him and threw very little in return. For me Brook just won't be able to live with the work rate of an Alexander, Khan or any of the top dogs.

I agree he switches off, maybe because he always looks so good in the early rounds he finds himself thinking "I can do this easily" and probably won't at the top level where he's made to work hard for all 12 rounds.

If you support a fighter its natural to feel disappointment if they lose, supporting fighters and there journeys is half the enjoyment of boxing, that being said it does not effect my life, but still makes me disappointed or happy sometimes.

true.
My point was that I m not emotionally attached enough to care that much after the fight has ended.

Re: Kell Brook Will Win a World Title
Any news on the big fight announcement? Guerrero? Maidana? I cant think who else hasnt got a fight lined up at the moment.
On the op I'm still undecided. I went to the fight on saturday and really enjoyed it but there were as many questions raised as answered. Brooks punch selection and accuracy were superb but he does get hit and his power isn't brilliant. But I do respect that he was conscious of gassing after last time so fought in bursts rather than full on

Hearn said an announcement next wekk "Big name" supposedly. Kell sells well in Sheffield so could maybe shift a bit of money, he got Bute to come to Nottingham I guess.
