Vitali Klitschko - Time to Move on?
First topic message reminder :
I have a lot of time for Vitali Klitschko. He has fought well over the years and is a very good heavy weight champion. However, he hasn't fought for almost a year, his last two opponents weren't really world class, has no fight on the horizon and is 42 years old this week. So, should he retire? This is an intelligent man with qualifications most of us can only dream about. He is in Parliament in his own country, isn't he? If so, that's a full time job! To my mind, now is the time for him to go, head held high. People will say he is ducking some real challenges, but why hang around when he has nothing to prove? It's not like he hasn't got a life outside of boxing. Any serious counterpoints to this?
I hope this doesn't descend into a "bash Vitali" thread or "he's afraid of all the whipper snappers out there", but don't hold out too much hope.

Because you said Bumchester was unbecoming........

Winchester, Tyson Fury beat an out of shape Chisora then went on to fight bums. Chisora accepted his loss went out and fought a very dangerous opponent in Helenius (Euro Champ) and pushed him very close.
Now who would you choose? The guy you've never heard of or the guy who recently made waves by getting jobbed to the European Champion?

Djene is a better place with the world's oldest mud brick mosque. Timbuktu is overstated historically.

Top hat you seem to be getting dragged into a lot of slanging matches.
Winchester you don't like the klitsckos but please think before you post because you just sound like you don't know what you are talking about.
You keep saying Klitschko should offer a fight to Fury but please tell me when he should have offered the fight? Fury was not iterested in fighting the klitschkos and came out and publicly said he would never fight a klitschko. And this year he ducks his mandatory ( if he beat his mandatory klitschko would be forced to fight him).
Tell me when klitschko should have offered fury a fight.

Tophat doesnt get dragged into slagging matches, he starts them.
I dont like the Klitschkos style of boxing. They are boring. Boxing for me is about entertainment and they dont provide any. I also think that based on what I have seen they are nowhere near as good as people make out. I mean people think they would beat the greatest heavyweights in history. They havent even beaten heavyweights like Fury or Wilder yet. There is no excuse for them to offer matches to Chisora or the cruiserwight Haye beat or the last couple of sparring partners they have and then say Fury is not good enough or doesnt deserve a shot. Fury beat Chisora Vitali Klitschko did so he is clearly more deserving of a match. Why didnt the Klitsschkos offer him one instead of the opponents they have been facing? People say because he doesnt deserve it, he doesnt take hard fights and all the rest of it but he deserves it far more than boxers like Chisora or sparring partners the Klitschkos use and know they can beat. That is what they are expecting people to pay for. A fight with their sparring partner. Its scandalous behaviour from someone calling themselves champion and they have no right to turn around and say Fury doesnt deserve it if they expect fans to watch them beat up their sparring partners or offer matches to opponents Fury has beaten. Fury has shown he is willing to take dangerous fights. He is facing HAye next when people were accusing him of not wanting to. Its a massive fight and far better than a Klitschko v sparring partner.

My question is when should the klitschkos have fought fury? fury keeps saying he will never fight a klitschko and fury ducked the mandatory fight.
I'm getting pretty bored of replying to your opinions that cannot be backed up by any evidence so unless you make your reply interesting in the sense that you mention facts then I probably will lose interest.

Of course there is evidence. He has never been offered a match. The Klitschkos could have offered him a match anytime after the Haye match . They offered Chisora a fight despite him losing to Fury.

So klitschko never offered fury a match that is your basis for saying klitschko is ducking fury.
if klitschko did offer fury a match instead of Wach then supporters of wach could under your rules of evidence say that klitschko ducked wach by not offering him a fight..... The same can be said of all fighters klitschko has not offered a fight too.
Klitschko has ducked cunningham, stirvene, pulev, holyfield etc etc etc

I've read here that Fury is ducking Pulev because he's fighting Haye. Had he signed to fight pulev the same tools would accuse him of ducking Haye.

I don't believe not offering someone a voluntary fight is ducking. I am happy Fury is fighting Haye because it is a far more interestng fight. But you then can't say he is serious about fighting a klitschko if he is going for money fights with haye instead of mandatory fights with pulev.

Re: Vitali Klitschko - Time to Move on?
Fury is a big named heavyweigh that is rated and getting 5 million for his next fight. Wach is some nobody. Are you saying Wach is a better match than Fury? How about Chisora who Fury beat? Was he better? What about the last couple of opponents? Fury is better than every oponent they have offered a match to since David Haye and I think Fury is actually better than Haye and will beat him. He is a big natural heavyweight that is larger than the Klitschkos and has a style that can bully them. I dont they want to take the risk of fighting him which is the reason they are offering matches to boxers like Chisora or boxers ranked lower than Fury or sparring partners. If Fury was an easy fight for them they would offer him a match.

He thinks he has a chance of beating Haye and it's for more money..........The thinking is should he lose........when Fury comes back Haye has gone on to acting and the Klits have retired so he can still win a belt........

Re: Vitali Klitschko - Time to Move on?
Absence of proof is proof Let's try that one in a court of law.
Also "They haven't beaten Fury or Wilder yet". Maybe because they haven't fought them yet.
I'd prefer to see both of them seasoned against a couple of top ten heavyweights before fighting either of the brothers. This will give them a much better chance of taking the belt and providing a competative fight. In this way, I am not disagreeing with Winchester; it is solely a question of timing and earning your shot. Should Chisora have fought Vitali? No. He hadn't really earned it. Should that one fight be a yard stick by which to base Vitali's whole career on? No. Winchester is doing a very good fighter a big diservice.

Exactly. Everyhting is a no win scenario for Fury but the Klitschkos get to offer matches to boxers that Fury beat or that they use as sparring partners and they get all manner of excuses made. Fury fights Haye is a massive fight against a dangerous opponent and he gets criticised. Who had the Klitschkos fought and beat when they were Furys age? Losing to journeymen and fighting nobodies while Fury takes on top heavyweights and is accused of not wanting big fights while the Kitschkos offer there sparring partners a match.

The Klitschkos last fought against sparring partners and boxers like Chisora or that cruiserweight that Haye had beaten years ago. They offer matches to opponents they know are no real threat. Won two rounds..........Look can I make a suggestion..Let's all agree with this muppet that the Klits are no good wasters.........Agree also that Fury belongs higher than Larry Holmes...and then he can p**s off happy..........

Fury wasn't getting £5m when the K's picked Wach. He was on pennies. Before the Haye fight came along Fury had is shot at mandatory status, guaranteed title shot and better money than a voluntary, but he took the more exciting better paid Haye fight.

2. Fury isn't mandatory.
3. Why bother fighting a guy that gets stiffened off an ancient cruiser with 5 defeats......
4. Winchester doesn't believe any of his own arguments...He's just bored and wumming.

4. Winchester doesn't believe any of his own arguments...He's just bored and wumming.

Exactly. If fury really wnted to fight the klitschkos he would face pulev and then he is mandatory and the klitschkos wont be able to 'duck' him.
Who knows what goes through winchesters head, but all of his posts have been about fury, wilder and the klitschkos. He didnt even know what a mandatory was before someone told him.
