Releases from TNA

Adam won't be happy...

D.O.C. and Tara have both been released overnight. Also reported to have gone are Bruce Prichard and D'lo Brown but neither are confirmed as yet.

Wow thats a shock if true.
Wonder what have brought this on? Drugs, bullying, incident on the road?

Surprised they let D.O.C go wasn't he in a story line with Anderson to be the next V.I.P of aces and 8's?

And not too fused about the others didn't rate Tara very much not heard of Pritchard and well D.lo Brown was well passed it anyway.

Big hairy balls is all I have to add to this story.

I am in a 45 minute car ride with the guy from TNA UK on Saturday, so he will be feeling my wrath.

Could it be a work for him to return as a babyface?

My first thoughts were that DOC would be coming back to attack Knux/Anderson in the next month or two. It would be such a new and exciting idea for TNA to announce a contract expiry, only to have the person mentioned return!

Quite surprised at Tara too, still capable of putting on a good match and given the size of the Knockouts division you'd think TNA would try to keep as many women contracted as they could!

From what I read, his contract expired.

If thats the case, its pretty poor form that TNA and DOC didnt come to an agreement to allow them to write him out.

Even if it had been the rest of Aces and 8s turning on him last week after the failed vote. To allow DOC on screen in a major storyline (the VP one) and then disappear the next is shocking.

My guess is that DOC will be on destination X (either in a pre recorded segment being written out) or this is a work.

Anything else and its a disaster.

Also, correct me if I am wrong but isnt the Knockout division now down to 4 people and ODB? (Kim, Mickie, Tarryn and Velvet)

Tessmacher is still on the books isn't she? Even if she is that is a tiny division.

Don't forget Eric Young is a knockout too.

 No Eric Young had to give up the tag belts with ODB so guess hes out of the knock out division.

I thought when Terror finally left they would give her a proper send off as she seems quite close to retirement

Shame about D.O.C. it looked like they had some plans for him what with the VP storyline with Anderson. Wonder how they'll write him out for the time being? Is there anyone orange enough to play his double in a backstage beatdown segment?

Sad to hear. I really liked Tara (though not her dalliance with that idiot Jesse Godderz - think they've finally booked him properly as Robbie E's sidekick in "Bromance" )

Quite liked DOC and really thought he'd get the VP gig. Hope they both come back soon.

Never even saw D-Lo until the Aces & Eights story broke, so not sure what his standing in the company was - although it now seems he's redundant. Bruce Pritchard seemed like a decent guy - maybe he got a better offer elsewhere? Would explain why they have the head of OVW as a Gut Check judge now.

Its things like D.O.Cs release that alienate me from the TNA product, theywant you to invest in their storylines and characters but just drop them from TV without any real explanation.

It'd be strange for the DOC character to just take the huff and turn up in a few weeks as a face, he's an action first kind of character or so we've been led to beilieve, if he was genuinely annoyed at A&8s democratic decision to vote Anderson the you'd think he'd man up to those who voted against him so coming back a face doesnt strike me as logical either

You've summed it up gaffer. It's absolutely bush league if legit, and if it's a worked shoot I might literally yawn to death.

It really is hard to tell when a company is purposefully putting their support behind wrestlers...

From what I've read/heard, wasn't Tara the highest paid Knock Out on the roster? I mean if they're not going to use her while she's staying at home getting paid then it makes sense that she's leaving... I'm sure she'll keep busy doesn't she run some kind of events/shows in Chicago?

DOC on the other side, the timing is very strange. I don't think it's a worked shoot as some are suggesting it's a simple matter of fact that his contract has ran out, maybe he'll return on a pay per appearance basis, or better yet let him have a couple of months off and start a slow-burning feud with Mr. Anderson / Knox

I hope they're going to trim the roster slightly more, I don't know how the likes of Jesse Godderz, Rob Terry or Sam Shaw have managed to avoid the cuts so far...

I'd like to know how the cost of all these contracts they've terminated compares to Brooke Hogan's.

All the remaining one night stand shows are going to look very odd.

Half the people on the one night specials aren't TNA talent anyway - they are one night specials for a reason!
