From memory, if you've started a team after week 1 has started, you'll start bottom with 0pts (ie, the game doesn't give you the points your team would have scored in week 1). A slight disadvantage but if you have a good team, you'll soon move up the table.

Two seasons ago I joined a league a week late and lost the title by 9 points, having recorded 0 that first week. It may not be the case now, but I think it is, and it's to stop people picking the 120-point team of the week to get an unfair headstart.

I'm stuck now. Made two changes already so am down 4 points. Don't know whether to stick it out with Lukaku or get someone else in. Problem is that'll give me £8.5m and the choices I would want to make would be Lambert or Osvaldo, Welbeck, Giroud & Dzeko. So..... who would you take from those???

I forgot I had Benteke as well

Lost the first spot, but 89 points is the third-highest ever in a week for me, this being my third season doing this website now. So I am a very happy chappy

Nick, out of those, I'd probably pick Lambert.

Joint 10th, with 79 points, which is honestly better than I was expecting.

Indeed, that's why I stacked up on quality CBs and midfielders and went with Benteke + Bony + Anelka, all three guaranteed to start regardless of form, all three capable of scoring against anyone. I wish I'd had Benteke as my captain this week, but I didn't expect one goal, never mind three!

Yeah arsenal and chelsea away were tricky fixtures so I didnt have him as captain either. Ive done similar with my strikers.

96 points not bad start, always nice to get off to a good start otherwise I start making transfers left right and centre

I think my first week last season was something like 35 points, that ruined my season from the get go.

How we all doing then? I'm 5th on 107 points, but this has been a poor week thus far.

Just an update on this - Athletico Support / Lord Hobo is winning with 325 pts

I'm coming after you though, after a slow start - quite frankly embarraSsing start for me, John's boy's are turning it on with a mammoth 83 pts this week.

Taken Benteke out due to that injury and brought in Giroud.

Not happy with my position but at least i don't have to worry about relegation. #MidTable

Not too unhappy with my position, 3rd and 20pts off Hobo. A couple of good weeks will see us challenging for that top spot.

Now, what to do with Benteke...

i've taken a bit of a nose dive in this, played a early wild card then got loads of injuries!!! three players out this weekend has meant another week of at least two transfers

I had to use my wildcard in week 3, I had four players with no game + 4 more injured, leaving me with just 6 players

Yeh I've just used my wildcard to get in lukaku!

Okay, so Coleman and Baines combined for a mighty ONE point

Luckily super Rossy Barkley rescued me with 9 points, leaving me 7 off the lead.

Made my transfer for the week already, Wanyama out, Amalfitano in

Great week for Steve C's side, 85 points elevating him to 3rd

I have taken out Ashley Williams and brought in Micheal Dawson.

I'm in 13th & rising. Seriously, I was like bottom five after the first two weeks but perseverance has seen me rewarded with a good run of late.

9th, had a bit of a mare recently saw me drop quite a bit. last week cost me, put in aguero only to change my mind last minute because lukaku had palace this week and didnt want it to cost me points!
