A friend of mine sent me a link to a tweet by MTV presenter Laura Whitmore stating she was going to Manacor to teach Nadal the art of DJing... He may or not be playing his first set this Thursday..

But that got me thinking, purely looking at a tennis players game play, and Personality, what type of musician do you think they could have been?

As an aside, is Nadal becoming the Rockstar of tennis? He hosts Bacardi parties, is the face of a poker company, and now an aspiring DJ... Would have thought that was in Djokovic's arc.

Roger Federer would be like a classical composer such as Strauss.

Tommy Haas would be Cliff Richard - the Peter Pan of tennis.

Andy Murray - a rockstar such as Roger Daltrey of The Who.

They are my starters.

Stepanek == Bob Seeger
Gulbis == Alice Cooper
Simon == Sting
Tsonga == Noah
Ferrer == Harry Connick Jr.

Stosur == Pat Benatar

I wonder who will pick Roger Waters? and who will be his Tennis equivalent?

Hmmmmm

Federer - Mozart (conductor of brilliant music pieces)
Djokovic - Vanilla Ice (a wind up rapstar)
Nadal - Sash (same repetitive stuff)
Murray - Morrissey (miserable git who can produce good stuff)
Ferrer - Jon Bon Jovi (a pain in the arse)
Tsonga - Michael Jackson (Off The Wall version)
Del Potro - Calvin Harris (lanky)
Gasquet - Daft Punk (good on the ears, but under-achieves)

Others

David Nalbandian - Meatloaf (could it be anyone else)
Tommy Haas - Mick Jagger (better with age)
Gregor Dimitrov & Maria Sharapova - Aqua (cheesey)
Ernest Gulbis - Johnny Rotten (unruly gobshite)

You've raised the (musical) bar. Difficult to compete, so I won't attempt to ..........

Federer - in his prime, The Beatles (a distillation of many styles combined to create something original that is massively popular). Nowadays he post-Beatles Paul McCartney (still in possession of great talent but more prone to mistakes).

Djokovic - Skrillex (To some he is thrilling, others he leaves cold. More creative than most of his genre but it's built around the bassline/baseline).

Nadal - AC/DC (Basically repeating the same thing over and over but achieving massive success in doing so).

Murray - Green Day (after early success, it took them another 4 albums to hit the very highest level).

Ferrer - Stereophonics (they've got some alright stuff but it's hard to get excited about them).

Grigor Dimitrov - Julian Lennon (not as good as the previous generation).

The Nadal & Djokovic doubles pairing - Michael Jackson and Paul McCartney (how can two such talented individuals be so bad working together?(seriously, check out 'The Girl Is Mine'))

There is another one, called 'Ebony and Ivory' with McCartney/Stevie Wonder, which is in the same category. (There is also an old pairing of Connors/Ashe, which could be in the same category).

Bryan Brothers == Bryan Brothers - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xT74EJ8vbw (Do not know who the other two are Laugh).

Murray would have to be a rock drummer, Keith Moon style.
Federer a Violinist virtuoso.
Nadal a Heavy Metal Guitarist.
Djokovic a Xylophonist.
Del Potro a Bassist.
Berdych a Keyboardist.
Ferrer a Flutist.

They could form a band and call themselves "The Symbollocks"
