Evening all,
I'm looking for a bit of inspiration. I'm off on a mates stag do in cardiff next year and the theme is retro wresting fancy dress. I dont want to be walking around in basically just a pair of pants all day and night but I dont want trouble getting in either. The stag is going as golddust! So far im thinking million dollar man, bigboss man, brutus the barber beefcake etc.
Any ideas anyone?
Any of you guys done it before?

I've gone out dressed as the old school Undertaker before; black shirt, black trousers, black boots with cut off grey jogging bottoms over the top of them, grey gloves, black hat, black coat and a wig. Only trouble is by the end of the night I'd lost everything except the shirt, trousers and boots.
Could have been worse I suppose!

Re: ideas
Roddy Piper is cheap enough to recreate - the Hot Rod t-shirt is relatively easy to buy, and you just need a skirt to finish the look off. Be careful of those pumped up Cardiff knob jockeys when you're dressed up like that mind!

Grow a mullet between now and then, go to the gym a bit, buy some brightly coloured shoelaces and tassels and then run around like a lunatic snorting in people's faces.

Re: ideas
Off the top of my head I can't think of any clubs that won't let you in. The only one that may refuse you entry is tiger tiger but that's only if its obvious your on a stag or hen do. It seems they have a hatred to the 'soon to be married' bunch.
What about the warrior, few bright shoelaces on your arms, long coat, face paint etc. ones I'd probably stay away from are demolition (unless your into abit of s & m?)

Re: ideas
Best I've seen is full on Daniel Bryan in a YES YES YES shirt and just wrestling trunks (ie pants) walking around New York on Mania day or the guy dressed as Al Snow at a TNA show with Head with him. His mates were dressed as the APA too, although blacking up to be Faarooq was probably a controversial move

I've got a couple of mates who went as the Legion of Doom, with home made shoulder pads. The spikes are easy enough to make with toilet rolls, but not sure whether they used actual shoulder pads or if they made them too. Looked awesome though.

Me and my mate did this. Pair of leggings homemade shoulder pads bit of face paint job done. Make the effort though, we had over 20 lads every single one made a real effort. It was great.

Me and my mates done this for a night out one of the guys came as Mankind latter in the night he disappeared came bck half hour later as dude love and done the same again to become cactus jack all simple costumes.
Bravest of our mates came as Val Venus but was told he cudnt come in2 club at the end of the night.
I went as Papa Shango shud have become the godfather later in the night reli.
I recommend you go as a member or the Spanish announce team and just let your mates trash any table you sit at.

Re: ideas
I have a wrestling fancy dress costume for any occasion.
Luchador mask (the biggest expense) around £15+ if you order online.
Cheap Dracula cape
Black jogging bottoms, or wife's leggings/your own leggings if you want the tights look
Any t-shirt and trainers

That was my original intention KV but godammit I just couldn't get those custom made boots right! The Undertaker was my fall back option, with WORYAH! and Shawn Michaels as my other back-ups, given that the Brimstone character has been influenced by all three

The Hulk?
Blonde Wig,
Blonde Moosetashe
Yellow Top
Yellow Joggers (Hit Primark) then put a load of cheap red paint over it,
Feather Boa could be an issue though, but it will be lost within 30minutes of being out in cardiff...
Or 3 of you could go as the nWo?

Has someone giving you a tuning on a night out in cardiff that makes you say this?
As for dressing up, go as IRS. The easiest and cheapest costume in history.
