Lol I'm with Haz, don't see how that's a fantasty fight!
As a speculative match-up I see Karass walking Khan down, probably to an LKO. Berto suggested his power isn't poor and Khan's, whilst decent, won't dent that iron chin of Karass'.

You got it all wrong TopHat.
Fantasy as in hypothetical not as in ultimate.

Hypothetically, Boris Johnson could have sex with Edwina Currie.
That also isn't a fantasy.

Boris Johnson with Theresa May I could go with.
But Edwina Currie, that's a non starter for me.

Re: Fantasy Fight- Welterweight
To be honest the thought of Boris Johnson having sex with anyone leaves me cold as does the man himself.
But now that Khan is fighting at welterweight these are the kind of people he needs to be looking at.
Or is the plan to get Mayweather then call it a day saying he gave it his best shot but that he's no longer in love with the sport of boxing?

Re: Fantasy Fight- Welterweight
Bizarre thread title, but if it ever came off you'd favour karass
Khan cant stop him from walking forward, and he doesnt have the defensive skill to limit Karass' output or make him back up
Think Peterson-Khan but karass is bigger, stronger, tougher and more relentless than Peterson is

He's fun to watch Karass and most definitely deserves a title shot.

Re: Fantasy Fight- Welterweight
Love to see him and Broner
Karass can be outboxed and is easy to hit, but the guy comes to fight and just pours it on
Broner almost lost to de leon becuase he was outworked and was pushed close by paulie. He may laugh and smile when he takes shots from Rees or Malignaggi but lets see how he feels after a couple of shots from a big welter in karass who has heavy hands
Broner trys to fight like Floyd but he is very much more comfortable on the front foot and uses his power advantage to wear people down. Malignaggi didnt seem too worried about his power so Soto wouldnt be
Its strange his last 2 wins were the exact same results that Guerrero got before he got the floyd fight, yet no one is really taking him seriously on the world stage

Perhaps he doesn't have a tragic enough back storyIts strange his last 2 wins were the exact same results that Guerrero got before he got the floyd fight, yet no one is really taking him seriously on the world stage.

Broner is the heir apparent...wishful thinking...Stinker Paulie could make a naked Meg Ryan look bad..
Think Broner will beat Floyd..when the time comes..

He didnt make Khan or Hatton (or Cano) look bad, and its hard to call him a stinker when he was the one throwing combo's
Broner wont beat Mayweather untill Floyd is well into his 40's, different leagues all together

Broner will be promoted into that league with Manny on his resume.......and Floyd will eventually slow down.

Manny-Broner wont happen so that point is irrelevant
Mayweather will need to slow down a lot for Broner to beat him, he will have to be at least 40

Fantasy is, by definition, "An unrealistic or improbable supposition". This is potentially possible, surely? Khan vs Froch for the heavyweight title of the world is a fantasy.

Re: Fantasy Fight- Welterweight
Not really, all Froch and Khan need to do is to follow the strict post career diet as favoured by Naseem Hamed and their foray into the HW division should be a doddlebhb001 wrote:Fantasy is, by definition, "An unrealistic or improbable supposition". Now, Dame Judy Dench aged 8 versus the sandwich I had for my dinner....THAT's fantasy fight. I pick Dench as my sandwich was dreadful.

Re: Fantasy Fight- Welterweight
Jason Bourne vs James Bond. Both can probably mingle at welter. Although have to be a 15 rounder.

Re: Fantasy Fight- Welterweight
If Bond is ravaged with cancer after all the cigarettes he smokes (upwards of 60 a day according to Fleming) then he might just get down to 147. Otherwise I believe he'd be anwhere from a MW to a CW depending who's playing himmobilemaster8 wrote:Jason Bourne vs James Bond. Both can probably mingle at welter. Although have to be a 15 rounder.

Re: Fantasy Fight- Welterweight
Got to favour Karass for a LKO, but although his chin is solid, bodyshots look to upset him more. He's pretty soft around the middle and went down from Berto's left.
Khan can throw mean body shots in the first six rounds at least, so if he goes there early it could be interesting. As always with these two, it would be exciting.

Re: Fantasy Fight- Welterweight
I think it'd be pretty 50/50 Khan has dramatic speed on Karass and is a bit more defensively aware than Berto is, or will at least have his hands up a bit more, can see it being a little bit of a firefight at times, but perhaps Khan takes him 6/10 times?
