Who is your favourite player of all time?

I felt like making a topic so i just wanted to ask everyone, who is your favourite player of all time?

Steven Gerrard, I think he's probably the best Liverpool player ever, he's certainly pushing Dalglish close and he's unfortunate to have been born in an era where Liverpool are simply not as good as they were in the past.

Sami Hyypia will always be my 'cult' favourite though. I also really like Xabi Alonso.

Paolo Maldini and Gabriel Batistuta are my all time favourites.

While Ibrahimovic, Hamsik, De Rossi, Buffon and Zanetti are mine who are still playing.

Joey Cole probably, very hard to choose between him and Paolo though.

I can remember my favourites changing. It started with Bryan Robson, Dion Dublin, then Cantona, then Keane, then Rio, Joey and Paolo, with Sheringham and Baggio thrown in there too. Parker and Noble have come into the equation, as has Tevez, whilst Carlton F'ing Cole will be forever idolised in a different way.

I missed out Steve Potts and Julian Dicks! Actually, missed out Pearce too.

John is probably in the Carlton camp. I just remember counting the seconds from when Moncs came on and how quickly he could get booked!

Too many for me, but I prefer the pre todays modern robo players, as you can probably tell I like the flare players that seems to have all the time in the world even though they don't have a lot of pace.

This. Although he was so much more, the guy oozes class and was a genuine footballing genius. The closest player to him present day is Iniesta, but he's not quite at that level for me even though Iniesta has won more. Even geniuses have their flaws, only he would do what he did in the World Cup final 2006.

Chris Lucketti- Great player for Bury, bought for 50k sold for £1 million. He wasnt the greatest player, he could only ever kick the ball the way he was facing but he gave his all in everything he did
