Re: 606v2 East League 2013 - NFL.com Fantasy Football League Homepage
We had 5 on autopick for most of it then skins4ever joined in near the end and for long enough in the middle to grab RG3!
I think the number on autopick partly led to the run on RBs in the first round - once a few ran off the board, panic kind of set in, or at least that's what happened to me and why I ended up grabbing Morris at 10. Like Crazy Dave says, there's such a steep drop off in production after the top RBs.
Re Rodgers at 19.... that was me.... maybe a bit early but you know what you're going to get with Rodgers - he's going to be one of the top points scorers.
Re the autopick thing though - check out Lowland Brit's team (Carry Hungry Hippos) - that was autopicked and it's about as balanced and potentially as good as you could get in a 14 team league I reckon.
My team isn't so good though:-
Aaron Rodgers
Matt Schaub
Alfred Morris
Eddie Lacy
Le'Veon Bell
Roy Helu
Antonio Brown
Pierre Garcon
Anquan Boldin
Rueben Randle
Aaron Dobson
Tony Gonzalez
Fred Davis
Steven Hauschka
Seattle D
I mean it could be decent but equally, it could be pants.
Will get a write up done ASAP.

Luck
Bradford
Pryor
Sproles
Mathews
Thomas
Pierce
D Robinson
C Johnson
Julio Jones
Lance Moore
M Sanu
V Davis
D Allen
Cardinals D
No Kicker yet
If Mathews can stay healthy then I feel good about the team, but that is pretty unlikely. The run on rbs at the start meant I could get some pretty good starting receivers but not great depth. I'm hoping to hold onto the Division 3 title but will probably need to get more than 7 wins this time around.

Sorry for missing the draft lads. I did manage to rank my players so i hope it didn't effect it too much.
Looking to pick up a number two reciever if anyone has a spare one going?

I went 9th and probably panicked a bit with Brees, because all the top RBs were gone. I may well struggle if the New York teams' run game doesn't hold up.

Roethlisberger
David Wilson
Chris Ivory
Andre Brown
Michael Bush
Torrey Smith
James Jones
Alshon Jeffery
Rod Streater
Santana Moss

Picked 12th. I took RB's and WR's in first 6 rounds so suffered with QB's and TE's. Just going to change kicker and defence each week depending on the match up.
Andy Dalton
Phillip Rivers
Matt Forte
Steven Jackson
Rashard Mendenhall
Knowshon Moreno
Dwayne Bowe
Reggie Wayne
Cecil Shorts
Chris Givens

Carry Hungry Hippos:
Tom Brady
Carson Palmer
Arian Foster
Chris Johnson
Isaac Redman
Danny Woodhead
Bilal Powell
Steve Smith
Vincent Jackson
Greg Jennings
Ryan Broyles
Andre Roberts
Jared Cook
Blair Walsh
New England Patriots
Not sure about the bench, but I'm pretty happy with that for an autodraft.

I'd be happy to trade a 2nd string WR for a 2nd string back.

My team is a bit weak everywhere except QB!! RB could be good if AlMo has a repeat of last season and Lacy turns out to be as good as some are saying he has looked. TE I'm OK at but I've got zero depth at RB and a whole bunch of WRs who are just No 2s and 3s in fantasy terms. Didn't get the kicker I wanted but am hoping the Seattle D could be a difference maker.
Overall 6/10.

Don't worry, I'm sure he'll take Mike Wallace and EJ Manuel in return..... actually, that might be quite a good deal for him!

Cam, Martin, Wallace and Graham is probably a fair offer for Marshall and Cutler. Any less than that and Take it to the house is getting robbed

As a completely unbiased, independent observer, if Bull gets Marshall and/or Cutler without giving up everything short of a kidney I will be very disappointed in Take it to the house.

Don't cry too much over Marshall. He's got 4 days off for 'personal reasons' after pretty much admitting his surgery isn't fully healed. If he's 90-95% he's still a great WR, but if he's less than that, I'd take a regular starter with lower expectations.
And barring one good season in Denver, Cutler has always flattered to deceive.
Stick with what you have - solid crew of WR's.

Bull being a hardcore Bears fan is the sole reason behind him wanting them though, no actual tactical reasonskins4ever wrote:Don't cry too much over Marshall. Let me guess, he offered you Shonn Greene for Marshall???Take it to the house wrote:Ironically I support Arsenal! And your 3rd offer is still way too less.Bull wrote:Yeah but no one else does!

BTW, have updated the original post with each team's top 3 draft picks and also to take into account NJY's team name change.
I'd really like to do a wee draft write up.... will hopefully get the chance later.

Interesting seeing the different approaches. some going exclusively RBs, some aiming for balance and a few WR/QB combos...
I guess auto-pick might skew the results slightly, but they all look fairly balanced overall to me...

I just typed out a very long breakdown of my draft, went away to quickly do something and I timed out.
The quick notes are:
1. RBs are valuable so I took the opportunity to triple up.
2. I like Matt Ryan.
3. IMO it's easier to find diamonds in the rough at WR than almost any other position.
4. Went for DeSean Jackson over Pierre Garcon - might regret.
5. WR fliers, Josh Gordon - legit WR2 talent after 2 game suspension, Britt ? injury and ? QB situation, Thompkins - earned Brady's trust, solid if not spectacular is the hope, Floyd - injury ? but expect San Diego to have to air it out.
6. handcuffs in Joique Bell and Toby Gerhart
7. Jets DEF usually solid option.

4 I would pick Garcon
5 Like Gordon & Britt if he can stay on the field .Thompkins is a good gamble ,don't like Floyd much
6 Not sure about 2 handcuffs but agree with Gerhart ,not sure about Bell where he will end up on Lions depth chart
7 Jets D should be OK

Picking 8th, i had McCoy pencilled in from the start, unless one of the top 5 slipped for some reason, which they didn't.
Happy to get MJD in the 2nd and slightly panicked going for Kap in the 3rd, when there were still plenty of top QB's available.
I was pleased to get Gronk quite late, but should of got a no.2 TE sooner then i did.
Happy enough with the Texans D, but might regret not going for 49ers or Bears instead (all available bar seahawks iirc).

I had no tactics going in really. By the time I picked 9th it seemed like all the RBs I trusted to put up big numbers had gone so I took Brees knowing it's almost a sure thing he'll get me loads of points.
Reached for Wilson but I panicked needing a RB and he should be the #1 back at the Giants, and if not I handcuffed him with Andre Brown.
My team is pretty unspectacular all around though.

Just looked at the draft results
Looks like it will be very close league ,a lot of teams look fairly evenly matched
there isn't any team that looks like it will run away with it

To be fair, it wasn't that bad, but it's not like I'm desperate to trade him so would need a much beter offer than say Cruz or Wallace to trade him.Number-25 wrote:Let me guess, he offered you Shonn Greene for Marshall???Take it to the house wrote:Ironically I support Arsenal! Ha! Cruz or Wallace are a slight level down from Marshall, you're gonna need to offer better than that!

Your offers have been rip offs!
Marshall + ??(Randomer) = Cruz and Martin is a rip off!
as is green added to that deal considering Martin is better than him and is ranked 3rd best RB!

Randomer is harsh on BJ-GE! And, seeing as you're so desperate for Marshall, I'll need a good offer for him if I'm going to trade him...Bull wrote:Your offers have been rip offs!
