Glasgow Warriors DTH VDM scores one and makes one in Canada's RWC15 qualifier v USA Eagles. Go Danny Boy :

With second leg in Toronto on Saturday and Canada 29-6 up looks like USA v Uruguay play off to get into Scotland's pool.

Re: USA Eagles v Canada
Shame, I was kinda hoping that the USA would make it through. Unlike Canada I've never seen them before so was hoping to tick off another team come 2015!
Re: USA Eagles v Canada
GLove, if I understand it correctly, the loser if the series will play off against Uruguay for the 'Americas 2' slot in pool B with Scotland.
So if you're hoping to see the USA, you're basically sitting pretty!

I bet the US were missing most of their top players.

That does look like their best 15. Was Cudmore playing for Canada?

We must remember that Canada are much better then ths USA afterall they they have got as far in the RWC as Ireland.
The USA finished well bottom in the pacific nation cup while Canada almost/should have won it losing only to japan

Yeah, Cudmore was playing - his usual 'abrasive' self, tackling line out jumpers in the air, stuff like that...

Re: USA Eagles v Canada
Actually this is good news for you, because the winner of this playoff goes into Irelands pool as fourth seed and the loser will be heavy favourites to beat Uruguay and go into Scotlands Pool as fifth seed! So this makes Scotland vs USA more likely to happen.GLove39 wrote:Shame, I was kinda hoping that the USA would make it through. Pretty much full strength. Their big names like LaValla, Clever, Manoa, Petri, Ngwenya, Wyles all present and correct.whocares wrote:Nah Todd clever was thereLeinsterFan4life wrote:I bet the US were missing most of their top players.

Re: USA Eagles v Canada
Got a question, what sports do the Native Americans play in USA/Canada? Very rarely see any on the team sheets for Rugby or football. Would think it would be an untapped source of manpower.

There are only 13% of the USA is African American but they take up a lagre amount of team sports.Effervescing Elephant wrote:Got a question, what sports do the Native Americans play in USA/Canada? Whites do the majority of non track personal sport.
Latinos play baseball and soccer.
I have no clue what they play. I spent a couple of years in Arizona where i spent some time around reservations and don't remember seeing sports feilds of any kind.

Yeah it was just his non-involvement in the RWC 2011 that's under debate. They gave Manoa his first chance at the start of that tournament and probably wouldn't have signed him if he had been unavailable during the RWC. After that, it doesn't seem like they've tried to stop him playing international rugby.GeordieFalcon wrote:So Manu Samoa played...so much for the Saints stopping him playing for his country thread...

They're pretty keen on LeCross. It's got it's roots in a Native American game that was similar. They even have a team Native American national team like the NZ Maori which you need to be x% NA to qualify.Effervescing Elephant wrote:Got a question, what sports do the Native Americans play in USA/Canada? Apparently in the HEC final Cudmore was giving Kennedy some trash talk and saying he looked scared and wasn't ready and he was going to show Kennedy what French rugby was all about, then Bakkies Botha burst out laughing, turned to Cudmore and said "lads, it's me you should be scared of facing" and all the Clermont players just shut upbluestonevedder wrote:He really is an absolute t1t. This is good though. Not sure if Bakkies could balance up Kennedy in a streeghtfight between the 4 2nd rows though.ChequeredJersey wrote:Apparently in the HEC final Cudmore was giving Kennedy some trash talk and saying he looked scared and wasn't ready and he was going to show Kennedy what French rugby was all about, then Bakkies Botha burst out laughing, turned to Cudmore and said "lads, it's me you should be scared of facing" and all the Clermont players just shut upbluestonevedder wrote:He really is an absolute t1t. Having seen Hinesy up close I wouldn't mess with him, and Cudmore used to do security for Drug dealers before he played rugby

Frankly I'd avoid fighting any of Bakkies, Cudmore or Hines

Confirmed that Canada are now through to RWC15 after beating USA 13-11 in Toronto to win easily 40 - 20 over both legs.

Canada will join Pool D with France, Ireland, Italy and one other qualifier to come from Europe.

If someone like georgia joins that pool, it will be pretty balanced with no easy games to rotate players. At least there is no Tonga.
