Rugby Tonight (Wed @ 7pm BTS1)
Just thought i'd give you all a heads up.
BT's version of the Rugby Club starts this week (wed @ 7pm on bt sport 1). Will be interesting to see what it's like. Anyone know if the rugby club is still going?

what did anyone think to the show? felt it was a bit light on content, having said that it could be because there havent been any games yet.

I quite like the line up & I'm sure it will get better when they all relax into it a bit more.
Once the season starts proper I think it will improve & BT seem to want to have a more interactive approach with a live audience, social media content etc. - it could be good.

Some good 'ideas' but I do agree with Nathan that it was light on content. It also seemed a bit rushed at times.
Like all new things though, it will take some time to settle down I am sure. It has the makings of a decent show.

I missed the first 20 minutes, but I'd doubt they were much different to the last 40 minutes. I have to say, it was total and utter bollards. Clearly BT believe the average rugby supporter has the IQ and attention span of an amoeba. The focus was purely on the presenters and not about rugby. What on earth was that drop kick competition about? Just dire, Question of Sport-esque time filler. They could have used that time to show extended highlights of the Top 14, or perhaps to actually talk about rugby. I got fed up with The Rugby Club as it was just an advert for Sky's games with little content, but this was just woeful!
Having said that, it was their first attempt and I live in hope that they will put some decent content in when the season has started and they have more to talk about...

Definitely an underwhelming beginning, they seem to be going for a more entertainment based approach aimed at drawing in less regular rugby viewers rather than a particularly informative, analytical and meaty discussion based programme, which is a shame given the number of experienced ex-internationals involved.
Not a fan of the interactive audience format, bit of a sideshow. Too many inanely grinning numpties cluttering up the background, offering nothing of substance but to giggle at any humour attempts. I'm similarily not interested in the social media content, most people with twitter accounts aren't worth paying attention to.
Don't think the live aspect is a great idea either, as it is they're asking a bit too much in presenting terms of former players who are at best pundits, and live broadcasting highlights those shortcomings making it seem more amateurish.

Looked like a third rate game show. I expected Dale Winton to appear at any moment. At least he would have been a relief from Austin Healey mugging to camera.
