Finally. Another season is upon us.

What's the gossip in Scarletville? John Barclay fit? Any concerns? Feelig confident? How did your pre season friendlys go?

Leinster have a bad record in opening games, having won just 1 of the last 10 or so.

Hoping a new coach can turn that around. We will be missing our 5 remaining Lions, and a few more returning from injury.

We lost both our friendlies but played well with a mainly academy side out.

Bring it on. Let's go.

Ref seems to be flouting the new scrum laws...or maybe he doesn't know what's going on.

Are these commentators or just fans in the commentary box? I thought RTE commentary was bad!

To look at afterwards on the replay (I didn't see it live), he seemed to lose it before it touched down, but no one challenged it so it was given.  The ref didn't see it....that was the Scarlets try. I don't know if Llanelli are playing tonight

I don't know what you're watching, but the whinge about Jiffy and Charlo is not unusual....in fact it's rather tedious.  Nothing you can do about it unless you watch a live internet stream or turn the sound off and have a radio commentary from elsewhere on.  I think it's fair to say that when it comes to local coverage, commentators seem less and less neutral whatever you're watching.

Cari, I dont mind biased commentators at all but these guys aren't commentating. Its a bit of a joke it would annoy me even if i was a scarlets fan

The scrums are going well. No messing with penalties, just straight forward pressure from the Scarlets.

I just seen the Scarlets (for you pedantic types even though Jiffy has called them Llanelli on more than one occasion tonight) try. Typical Derek Beven bias towards Llanelli. Always been the same since the 90s

To be fair to them, they do chit chat a bit, but then that's not unique to them. I've listened to sport on the radio (which is worse because you can't see what's going on) and it happens, particularly when things are slow or there's a lull in play. They do commentate when something's actually happening - when player's are going through phases etc. I actually like some of the banter between them - it's better than them hardly speaking at all, and when Jiffy goes off on one it's even funnier. Like I said people are at liberty to mix things up and take sound from another source if it's that irritating.
