Any one else see a few legends getting together with Shane McMahon - Say Dusty Rhodes, Goldust, Sargeant Slaughter etc to regain the company....
 
It made me wonder as obviously Cody was fired....

I doubt Cody Rhodes was fired to put over Sgt Slaughter, Dusty Rhodes and Gold Dust.

Sea Gent Slaughter sounds like a missed opportunity! A posh Merman gimmick is a market WWE has not plundered.

You'd like to think there's a bigger story awaiting Cody here but personally I think he might have just requested a few weeks off to get married and to honeymoon and that was him being written off TV.

They've left it open to have some fun storylines for him but there seema to be a few ahead of him in the cue for that role right now, I think it was more for convenience than some grand plan to push Cody

Quite convenient for everyone really. Stops his feud with Sandow just carrying on for the sake of it, gives HHH a chance to flex his muscles with the power game and gives Cody the time off. I imagine it will at least result in him having a "return" of some sort.

I was thinking Cody may be the superstar to help Bryan first, as everyone is scared of Punishment, Cody can't exactly get punished if he is fired? 

Night of Champions he could return to try and aid Bryan maybe, or is that too soon?
