Aus - SA Brisvegas
Great game, first I've seen this weekend that hasn't been drenched in rain.
2ns half just started and all close as the last match, NZ v Arg.

Great commentary on AAC dive that has garnered the Wallabies a shot at goal.
How George Clancy is allowed to referee at this level baffles me.

didnt even think it was yellow if im honest, good tackle and put him on his side. hardly dangerous and no where near dropping him on the neck. i do wonder who makes these rules and whether they have picked a 16 stone plus player up who struggles against you then place him down.maestegmafia wrote:Hopper yellow carded for the same tackle that saw Sam Warburton get red...!

Fair decision, penalty only. What commentary was that Maes, the Oz boys?

The fact that it is one refs red card and no more than a penalty to another shows the inconsistency within the adjudicating of the game.

It's more one sided than Bill Laurie and Richie Beneau

Re: Aus - SA Brisvegas
yeah agreed there wasn't much between that and warburton yet totally different decisions, seems like you cant even pick people up these days, their taking the art out of tackling, its what you teach any kid starting out hook the leg/s and drive him back! its a good tackle if you lift him up and knock him back just have to make sure he's not landing on his neck is the main issue and if so rightly red card them.maestegmafia wrote:You are not the only one who thinks that mate.compelling and rich wrote:didnt even think it was yellow if im honest, good tackle and put him on his side. hardly dangerous and no where near dropping him on the neck. i do wonder who makes these rules and whether they have picked a 16 stone plus player up who struggles against you then place him down.maestegmafia wrote:Hopper yellow carded for the same tackle that saw Sam Warburton get red...!

De Villiers great try. Think Habana got clothes lined on route by Cooper.

Ha, that's the truth:) Good try that by JDV, habana just took a hit worse than the AAC check.

I'm not convinced anyone actually touched AAC. He conned a referee who is very easy to fool.ebop wrote:Ha, that's the truth:) Good try that by JDV, habana just took a hit worse than the AAC check.

Ouch, Oz in for a mauling at home.
Oz v Argie will be interesting. Oz don't look threatening at all. Argie may roll them this year.

And that is the TBP
Great run from Le Roux
So in Aus' last 3 home games they have conceded 14 tries!

Willie Le Roux really is some player. Great by Duane Vermeulen as well, he is very underrated, like the Kieran Read of SA.

To be fair to the Aussies, Clancy has completely neglected marshalling the breakdown rules and SA have massively taken advantage of his ineptitude, diving in, hands everywhere.

Man, these Oz guys can't buy a trick, I don't think I've seen them at a lower ebb. SA on the flip, look like they havnt missed a beat with new players.

Re: Aus - SA Brisvegas
Great to see the Aussies throwing the ball around so much with the hope of getting some tries. Unfortunately the final pass not going their way but there are some great skills in this wallaby team.
They desperately need a more streetwise pack though.

Australia 16 - 41 British and Irish Lions : -25pts, -4tries
Australia 29 - 47 New Zealand : -18pts, -6tries
Australia 12 - 38 South Africa : -26pts, -4tries
Total scored : 57
Total conceded :126
Tries scored : 3
Tries conceded : 14
Points difference : -69
I'd stop going to home matches if I was an Aussie...

Dunno, maybe that 3rd test is probably what's broken them, because they have been very poor since.

Bit of a change there, normally it's the Aussies who take advantage and the Boks who lack the nous.

They were poor in the other two tests as well (admittedly with many injuries). I can see them finishing bottom of the championship (though Argentina are no great shakes either - should be interesting games between those two).ebop wrote:Dunno, maybe that 3rd test is probably what's broken them, because they have been very poor since.

Everything I keep saying about Cooper is confirmed. This is why Deans left him out. If Deans was still in charge Aus might actually have a win in this comp by now.

Re: Aus - SA Brisvegas
Deans' tenure is certainly looking less shabby by the game. Think this makes 5 of the last 6 now lost by the Aussies.
In fairness to McKenzie, your first three games being against NZ and SA sides in transition is not the start many new heads would hope for.
