Your 606 Alias
Just a quick on to find out more about the 606 fans.
Why have you nicknamed yourself what you have done already and is there specific reasons behind it?
For example, im mobilemaster8.
I went with this as im a Sales Account Manager and have worked in mobiles and telecommunications for a while now and seem to be very good....okay reasonably good at it hence the phrase Mobile and Master. The 8 is my favourite and lucky number i suppose.
Over to you.
i see some funny names and mysterious ones but want to know more about the man behind the mask!

Mine is as boring as my articles, mate.
88 = year of my birth
Chris = my name
05 = the year I first started using the old (old, old) version of 606/TMS on the BBC site.

Scott, is that the same scott as Tina wedding fame if so welcome back mate.
My name comes from a kid I used to work with. He was a bit of a tree hugging type and did not like putting his own name on the internet as he thought big brother was watching or some such nonsense and always used the name Jeffrey Rowley, as this amused me I nicked it. Turns out, which I did not learn till much later Jeff Rowley is some famous skateboardist type chap.

At the time I created my account, Jack Benson was a character that I had just played in a short movie which a friend had made as part of his university course.
The "II" was just put in as part of V2.
I actually created my original 606 account to joke around on the football boards but soon started visiting the boxing boards, realised that there were plenty of great posters who I could have serious discussions with so decided to become a (semi) serious poster myself.

You may have heard it but the other week when KP stepped in for an under fire Bell, Clarke suggested that he had no friends in the England camp. KP's response was that he was the captain of Australia and none of them, particularly Watson who was next to him at slip, liked him. First time I've seen Clarke properly lose it.Mind the windows Tino. wrote:Seen that a few times. "What's your average, Tatenda? 9? 9.5? Yep saw that, Clarke is a good captain but let his mask slip with that one. Anyway, why would the Aussies start sledging Bell who was in the form of his life? They really are not that bright.seanmichaels wrote:

My little cousin was down to visit t'other weekend and against every sinew in my body, I took him to a local football team for something to do. The opposition manager just happened to be old premiership footballer Neil Shipperley. He is very fat at the moment and some old boy in the crowd was standing right next to him giving him stick all game. Shipperley kept telling him to meet him afterwards to 'discuss' it further. That made the old boy even worse. Shipperley had this habit of stroking his chin as he made notes so the old boy shouted 'which chin are you stroking now Shipperley?". Another time, the ball came flying towards the dugout and Shipperley jumped in the air to stop it flying over the side at which point the old boy gives it "f*cking hell, Shipperley, was that ball made of chocolate". I was falling about by now. Miles more entertaining than the wendyball on offer.

Re: Your 606 Alias
I suffered a serious leg injury a few years ago in a freak yachting accident, and it was touch and go for a while whether I would be able to walk again. After several months in a wheelchair I progressed to a walking frame, and then eventually I was able to walk short distances with the aid of a stick.
I have always been fiercely patriotic, and with this in mind my grandparents bought me this for a birthday...
http://verko.co.uk/index.php/walking-sticks/gents-canes/union-jack-patriotic-cane.html
I could often be seen walking up and down the promenade at Cleethorpes with it, and became known locally as "The man with the bad leg and the Union Jack patriotic cane".
Obviously that is a bit long for a user name so I took out some of the superfluous words.

Bell always had talent, he was just a bit soft. That said I think he'll always be one of these batsmen who has a tendency to go off the boil. Very similar to my favourite batsmen of all time Damien Martyn. Not stylistically as such, but in terms of being brilliant one minute and hopeless the next.TRUSSMAN66 wrote:calm down........I never said no one else stuck around.........I just offered it up as a suggestion as to why they didn't get sledged ..

Audley v Haye was junk but the argument was that he was as credible an opponent as anybody else at the time which was stated regularly.......
which was the stance of the op at the time I imagine..
The OP being Trussman55,,,,,,,,,,,and not me.......No contradiction..
Selectivity...produces inaccuracy.......An old Roxbury saying..

Simple. I was at my gym, sparring and the trainer said "your jab should be a machine, constantly in their face with the same pressure, same power" apparently I followed his instructions well and he called me "The Jab Machine"
Add 2 and 2
Oh - its MK2 because my initial foray onto the forum was to pretend I'd sparred with Kell Brook, everyone fell for it except Soldier of Fortune and Windy, who proceeded to grill me, make me look like an utter twerp and Windy asked that I apologise because people were angry. They banned my original account so I came back as MK2 - no more bullsh*t.
Plus someone already took TRUSSMAN
