HEC tribute: in fond memory
Someone on the dead HEC thread suggested a Tribute to the HEC thread. I agree and think we should post our favourite HEC moments

If i could find a video for the end of the game it would have been better. Short of my son being born i cant remember a better feeling.
Just dont tell my wife!

The talks are back on, so lerhaos a tribute is a tad premature.

Ah great choice, loved NEV's jinking. I don't think he's quite that player anymore, but what a player.ChequeredJersey wrote:Someone on the dead HEC thread suggested a Tribute to the HEC thread. I agree and think we should post our favourite HEC moments

My first HC rugby trip. It was sunny, Bordeaux was hopping and Toulouse couldn't believe it. Toulouse out-Touloused...brilliant

The HEC is far from over. The idiotic men it the PRl need to start to listen to what the English and French rugby fans and not to what the club owners want...!
European club rugby is the greatest competition in the NH and we need to preserve it and cherish it.

Three I was there for:
Leon Lloyd's try at the end of the 2001 final to win the match, following a great break by Austin Healy
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=-h3v1dt5eis#t=284 (From 4:34 mark)
Peter Stinger's try against Biarritz.
We were at that end right in line with the scrum. Saw the left winger leaving his post and Betsen with his head down. they knew Stringer did not run with the ball. Right?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dl5JDRMKhA8
Tim Stimpsons Semi-Final penalty that broke Llanelli hearts
(Cannot find a clip - but 58 metres out, hits the post and the bar before dropping over ion a 13-12 win)
and one I was not at, but perhaps my abiding memory of the tension this competition can bring:
